Remove the Chronoboon

With the removal of the Might of Stormwind, Rallying/Rend cooldown, and other changes; Blizzard has shown it is willing to roll back changes that are not in the spirit of vanilla WoW. I think it is time we revisited the addition of the chronoboon to the era game.

Chronoboons were NOT in the original, nor Classic release. They are antithetical to the game’s core philosophy of having your main character logged out for 98% of the week and strategically logging in to catch buff drops.

I appreciate Blizzard reverting the recent additions, but really they didn’t go far enough. Remove the boon.

yes please remove the choronoboon so the alli can get back to wiping world buffs off the horde outside raids with 20 mages and paladins.
its unfair to let horde have all the fun griefing in the barrens, the alli wants some fun back!

You are correct that they were not in Vanilla. But they were in Classic. Granted they were added just prior to the TBC pre-patch but they were still added in Pre-Era to help combat against the massive amount of raid logging happening.

If you are going to complain about something at least be accurate

nor Classic release

Bolded for the druid with poor reading comprehension.

Maybe your reading comprehension is poor. You are complaining that it wasn’t on Era. It was from the start.

And now you edit your posts so you don’t look wrong lol. But you still are. It was in Classic although just a short time

Boons were not in Classic at release. They were an abomination added in April of 2021 to satisfy boomers with careers, families, or other hobbies at the expense of those of us who are truly passionate about the game as it was.

Every day we stray further from the glory of the original game, especially with heretics such as your self justifying this sort of desecration.

So you are both bad at dates and reading.

TBC was released June 2021. So Boons were in Classic for several months during Phase 6. Like my initial reply stated.

1.13.7 was released on April 20, 2021 while the Burning Crusade released on June 1, 2021. 42 days of this abomination hardly constitutes several months. These changes were thrown in to satisfy casual gamers, like yourself, who couldn’t commit to the minor task of keeping their main logged off for the majority of the raid week to conserve their buffs. Regardless of how long it was in effect or the supposed reasons behind it, this was a blatant betrayal of what we true gamers were promised—a slap in the face to those of us who have been dedicated to this game since the beginning.

So you admit being wrong finally. Nicely done. Your logs also show a much more casual approach to WoW. QQ

A resto druid talking about logs LOL

Because clearly people can’t have more than one toon. What’s funny is my Druid did more damage tanking a few bosses than your dps warrior. But happy show my warrior logs too

Is this better? For someone who claims to not be casual you don’t know warrior rotation very well.

LOL nice bait.

The chronoboon was a mistake and as I’ve repeated before it wasn’t at classic at release.

Spend more time looking my logs as that is somehow helpful to your argument or indicative to my commitment to the game.

No you edited your post after being proven wrong instead of admitting a mistake. You then tried to state its casuals that benefit. Your logs show you are a casual.

Continue to advocate for changes that steer us away from the true spirit of the game and we will end up with retail or worse. True shame you people can’t just let us enjoy what we had as we had it.

then do everyone a favor and drop the 1k needed to buy an original server shard and start your own server. you want a museum go make one, until they we’re in the same space

To be clear, I support a place for everyone to have their changes. In fact, I think it is good for the game. Unfortunately, I don’t think SoD embodies what some of the light changes/Classic+ folks are looking for. I’d imagine Blizzard could do it if they had more than 4 part-time interns managing 5 versions of the game.

But let the folks who were promised a permanent and unchanged space, have that space.

I agree, remove chronoboon for 6 months then have a poll whether players want it or not.
