Only two ways to fight bots:
1- Blizzard needs to invest significant amount of time and money to constantly screen accounts and behaviors because the bots keep evolving. Blizzard has automated everything and removed as much human elements as possible so ye - blizz isnt going to invest anything.
2- Trivialize gold/resources, either make getting gold so easy that there just isnt any reason to buy it. Like 5k gold from a WoW Token or something. Same for resources, make farming an actual option like each account has their own instance of open world spawns or something or nodes and stuff spawn so fast and massive numbers that anyone can just farm what they need.
Neither option is likely to happen so just enjoy your World of Bots and let it die in peace.
Make flying 100g and watch the gold sellers die.
No and No.
What confounds me is someone getting upset with a player that uses a built in game service that is heavily advertised as a collectors edition versionâŚ
Explain to me how this would be unfair? This has nothing to do with fairness. Game changes happen all the time. You cant miss what you never had and if you are a new player coming it would be just the way the game is
Skipping 58 levels? I view it as a hero class being added⌠sure you can take away the hero class with automatic levels (like the Death Knight) but that was the âfeatureâ for TBCC. It is unfair and yes life is unfair so they could remove very easy.
permanent character and account deletion for gold buyers.
Letâs not forget - DKâs had an epic mount and 12 slot bags to boot, as well as heaps of cloth for first aid and/or rep. The blue-quality gear they end up with was tops, too. I hung onto some of it until I got into Northrend.
Boost Paladinâs when?!?!?!??!!?
err, i played vanilla TBC, no, no it was fine, whats RAF? dont recall hearing the term, Real Auction what? i never heard of boosting until wrath, then it was everywhere, and blizz released heirloom gear so it was fine. The people i knew who wanted to be boosted and were too lazy to level (only a couple of guys out of like 10+ people i knew irl at the time) got an irl mate who loved leveling to do it for free for them lol.
thats a good point, i hope to hell blizz nerfs the DKs starter gear so the botters donât bloody hop into gold farm modes straight awayâŚ
This is a terrible idea.
Recruit a friend. It was awesome. Wanna ride my rocket?
Youâre talking about a different type of boost than this thread.
Screw that. I liked all that gear!
I do have a buddy who is deployed right now. When he getâs back he is going to start TBC (hasnât played classic)
He will definitely be boosting a character, so yeah. Hoping boosts are still there (for his sake) hehe.
oh THAT, yeah, funny how almost none of my irl wow friends back then ever bothered doing that, even when we were luring each other in to play lol.
How very retail-refugee of you to say. What worked then will have terrible consequences today, level a main, and collect gear for ur precious DK and give it to the guy when its free of the starter quests, there is more than one route to the end goal of getting gearâŚ
Dks and most things surrounding them were my least favorite parts of Wrath if i recall correctly, im beginning to remember why now.
YES, YES, and YES.
If not, Iâm sure you and a couple others might be willing to reroll to play along with him. Hell, Iâd do it.
The 58 boost isnât the problem.
The problem is there being little to no enforcement on banning bots. A service that exists for the players is being exploited and Blizz refuses to do anything about it and then the players feel abandoned.
Awww⌠Thatâs too bad.
You can stay on your dead Classic server.
and you can go crawl back to retail with your 7k posts lmfao, imagine wanting people to take your opinions seriously when you actually played retail unironically. Cringe. How many store mounts do you own? all of them? lmao.
