it’s not gonna be fun, wtf is the point of having 1 dps in ur group that can damage more than 5 targets ? ur not gonna pull more than 5 anyway, stop listening to lfr heroes and ppl who can actually somehow manage to not time a +10 key
one time i ate 16 sticks of butter on a dare
Did you listen to the reason given? Ion gave a reason in the interview. Do you know what it is?
Address the specific reason and how it is incorrect instead of just saying no fun.
Cleave is a spell that deals big dmg to main target and low dmg to other target/s,
aoe is same amount of dmg to every enemy, they didnt make no cleave, they made capped aoe which is trash
Bait thread.
bait is the covenants for normies to get a sense of RPG
How much did you get from that dare?
no money, but i got the nickname “butterman” which is cool i guess
It will be thought provoking, now that the “Zerg everything at the end of the hallway” playstyle will be way less viable. Also, if you’ve seen the dungeons so far, they seem to be designed so that you really can’t Zerg them down ina huge AOE. Instea,d you’ll have to think about what amount of trash your pulling, which pack you want to take on, and the tank will have to look a bit more at his positioning so he doesn’t pull all the mobs. I think it won’t be too bad to put some more thought into the gameplay.
Worth it dude.
The target cap isn’t going to promote more CC. All it does is slow people down.
The GCD is bad enough but now they are disrupting another layer and flow of WoW play.
My theory is they don’t know how to make things challenging anymore and just are resorting to throttling players now.
they seem to be designed so that you really can’t Zerg them down ina huge AOE
if that is the case, you don’t need no aoe cap and you would still pull less mobs
EXCEPT
good players able to pull more will obviously do
bad players unable to pull more wil obviously not do
target cap is only forcing the good players to have same sized pulls as you +8 high key pusher
Many people on alpha have said it’s a non-issue though. And I think them trying to make different classes and specs better at different things is a reasonable decision. It’s likely they’ll design the dungeons with those changes in mind, trying to further emphasize things like “Hey you are this and so you have good Aoe, but not cleave” and vice versa.
The point is to eliminate the strat of Zerg at the end of the hallway. There will still BE packs of 8+ mobs with low health. And even on a more cleave focused class, you’ll still be able to do work on them. It’s not like if you bring a dungeon group and all (highly unlikely) 5 members are better at cleave than pure AoE, that you’ll suddenly won’t be damage any more than 5 of the same mobs. That’s silly.
They want to emphasize the differences, so that there is more of a reason to balance your comp instead of just having a group of all DHs and a healer.
All I hope is this doesn’t apply to old raids/dungeons since it could be really annoying.
