That’s a bad idea. That would be too strong and it would get nerfed into the ground.

Yeaaah…no.
It’s golden as is. This is asking for waaaay too much. Blizz just needs to fix sanguine blades breaking stealth and we’re good.

opening from steath has been a core gameplay mechanic for assassin rogue in m+ since legion. The rework made this easier with addition of shadowdance. They also introduced more sources of cleave and aoe damage so your damage profile is less reliant on improved garrote damage and spread to things like crimson tempest, caustic/internal bleeding and 4p, while keeping dot spreading core gameplay too.
this also sounds like you need to learn how to restealth between packs. Its definitely doable even with chain pulling. Unless tank pulls a boss, any normal pack you will be able to drop combat first before going in.

No its not - we must be playing different games - IF the tank goes on a chain pulling spree then you only have Vanish and Shadow Dance as ways to get into stealth - making shadow dance compulsory.
Your profile says you are Outlaw and you know axactly what my comment is about - i think its funny that you are scared of Assa being too powerful in M+ coz thats always been a problem right?
Heres the thing , yesterday i started with some low level M+ ( EU player here) which was very chill. I was able to get into stealth after every single pack that was pulled - without needing Dance or Vanish. So i was able to have IC up pretty much always.
If we fast forward to some time in the future where im trying to find 20+ pug groups and lets say after a few hours of trying i actually find one , and in said group the tank goes on a chain pulling spree ( between groups and straight into the bosses - or even affixes like spiteful ) and denies me stealth which happens alot then why not just remove the stealth component from IC because its something we can theoretically do which is 100% out of our controll.
When you consider garotte has a 6 sec CD and rupture still needs combo points and the fact that no improved garotte from Dance its not like it can be spammed.
Remove the Stealth component from IC already.
I logged out as outlaw. I also play all three specs.
No I’m scared of people like yourself who don’t have an actual clue what they are talking about trying to make changes that will get sin nerfed into the ground.
I highly doubt you play at a level where you’re doing 20s.
Let me let you in on a secret. It’s not an issue.

Im an EU player hence the Lev 10 char on this US forum - which is the minimum requirement to post here.
And Why did you delete / change your name ?- yesterday your profile link worked fine and now its a 500 error not found.
Luckily warcraft logs never forgets and i can already see you have a best average performance of 84.2% and thats with a split of Sub , Outlaw and Assa wheres as i have a best average of 99.5% only with Assa. So i can safely say i have a better clue than you.
Dont assume what other players can or cant do without facts first !

Warcraft logs are absolutely worthless for mythic plus. The fact you think they even matter further proves you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.
I play sin and agree with him, it would be way too strong.
Also i find it hilarious that you call him out for being outlaw and you yourself are level 10. Why do you care about something you dont even have yet?

I take it you dont read everything before posting - i explain exactly why i only have a lev 10 char on my previous post.
I also explained how we can theoretically get stealth between every group / pack if the group goes above and beyond to ensure such stealth.
And if that would be really OP like you say then the top M+ groups would prioritise Assa Rogues right now - ensure that they play in such a way that said Assa rogues can stealth between every group to ensure OPness.
We both know thats never gonna happen and it is in no way op , but a quality of life change.
This isn’t an issue with this and even then you still have shadow dance.
If there wasn’t a stealth requirement then it would be absolutely broken to the point it would either get hard capped at a lower number or have the damage significantly nerfed.

Chain pulling and no stealth are not the end of the world.
I would still prefer some middle ground.
Rupture can just be applied in big packs every other GCD, Garrote sadly is locked to 3 targets max because of the CD and is important for energy economy as well as damage.
I would like to see something like.
Garrote applies to one additional target.
Garrote and Rupture apply to two additional targets if used from stealth and 10 sec after leaving stealth.
This would increase the garrote application in no stealth chain pulls etc.
But keep most of the power in the stealth opener.

There isn’t a need for a middle ground because it’s really not an issue.
The spec is playing the best it’s been in years mplus wise.

Yeah I saw a couple 20s and a 21 UR.
That’s nothing to brag about.
Even then I have a 23 timed and a 24 untimed
And that’s still not anything to brag about.
