I agree. Make it work the way consecrate works for paladins: just a sweet and simple CD, no strings attached. Further, aren’t death knights, lore-wise, the antithesis of paladins? If so, this change makes sense both from gameplay and lore perspective.
But I’d like to go one step further, I really dislike the burst damage we take at the beginning because we’re either not topped off on runic power, or we’re missing bone shield. Can we please figure out a way to have some initial mitigation on a clean-slate pull? Or just do a flat scalar increase to our armor.
Not only that they nerfed our rune generation so we have to go haste instead of mastery now and its still slower and on top of slower runes we have to D&D, RW and mark if deathbringer then on top of having no runes to burst now we have the shortest burst window of any class only 12 sec my mage can have icey veins up for 1 whole minute. Its nuts
