For all the “Omg I hated the toxicity of LFG!!!” posts in here, look at the condescending and obnoxious attitude from the 2-3 people constantly spouting this in the thread. They’re the toxicity you got in LFG with zero self reflection and now they carry it into shuffle. Only difference is the game now forces you to play with them and gives them the same rewards as everyone else despite being awful.
Also we talk about LFG issues, but like… they’re still there in shuffle. Someone tilts and leaves early so you get two matches after waiting 40m in queue and someone leaves. What’s the difference between that and sitting in LFG for the same thing and someone leaving after a game or two? Is it because it was auto-join for you? People are still verbally abusive in the starting room to specs they don’t like, or someone who beat them in previous rounds.
The only thing RSS solves is that it makes it so people can’t escape you. That’s it.

Ya. Dont get me wrong, i dont mind solo shuffle, i think its good for the game as a concept. Its what skirmishes shouldve been.
That being said, on non healer classes its WAY easier and faster for me to make or join an lfg group and farm quick wins and communicate with my team (sometimes chat and sometimes voice).
The crazy thing is that in all solo Q games (wow RSS, league, OW2 for examples that i play) have SIGNIFICANTLY more toxic environments than any choice-grouping activity.
Its crazy to me how someone will not queue arena at all, say how bad it is, drum up elaborate conspiracies about boosters and have the most fried takes on class balance that are non supported by any relevant data and just go “rated 3v3 players are so toxic look at them mald hahahaha”.
These are the players that need solo queue because people wouldnt want to queue with personalities like that normally.

Tbh when LFG 3s go bad I don’t think I’ve ever had someone whisper me a ton of sht. They just alt f4 or leave party and it’s nbd, back to the drawing board.
In shuffle if a round is going bad for myself or them, I usually see some of the worst sht coming from someone towards the person who lost. And it’ll continue round after round after round.
And then you just have stuff like DH, uhdk, Ret, feral, etc that are max M+ specs for shuffle and it makes it worse when you start losing because your class isn’t as good into them as everything else in the lobby is into you.
Ah well. Easiest way to solve this is as a Remi says: remove some rewards from shuffle. Tbh I think everything above 1800 should be premade only.

Removing rewards is a terrible idea.
Players spent the last decade complaining about pruning and the solution to this is… pruning?
There needs to be more rewards in all brackets to incentivize players rather than nuking rewards which will just further obliterate an already dwindling player base.

Good idea, we need Blizz to revert back to catering to the 1% of subscribers (who, for whatever reason) can play WoW 16 hours a day.

I’ve seen post like this shaming ppls solo. It’s rich coming from those dealing the shame because chances are they themselves took part in the “meta” 3s comp to achieve their rating.
RSS is a random meat grinderS-show . Making it to the top means something. Just my $0.02.
It’s also how I wished the MDI would adopt the same random setup. THAT would be interesting. I would actually consider watching it.

I played solo shuffle more during S4 of SL and S1 of DF than I’ve played 2v2 and 3v3 arena in years. I didn’t get very far, and I didn’t play as much as I could, but the ease of getting into it is far superior.
Sometimes I hate it, sometimes I love it. Yesterday morning for my first game I went 5/6 and felt like a god. My second game I squared off against 2 DKs that felt like they had 100% uptime on their anti-magic shield and went 1/6. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

I mean it’s either that or they crater the MMR/cr gains from shuffle so you don’t have 3k first week gamers.
Uhhhh there’s only a handful of DH’s in the top 100 that’s why I’m being held back and tank from like 2050 to 1970 in 3s this weekend.

Or they actually add new rewards to both brackets instead of letting the player base cannibalise itself.
They could make a shuffle specific hue for elite and one for premade arena. Things just like that. Rewards for 2700 and 3k instead of those meaning nothing for most players at all, and even those that get glad since it’s done after 50 wins.
Taking rewards from shuffle won’t bring people to 3s. It’ll just remove them from playing.
Pruning has never done anything good for the game. Advocating for it is just inviting them to do it wrong as always and then say “you thought you did but you didn’t”
Blizzard copy/pasted rewards lazily, and instead of asking for them to do better work, the player base just turns on itself over and over again. It’s classic historical oligarchy play on peasants and we’re the peasants killing each other.

Nah. All the btags that used to whisper me to do 2’s just run RSS instead. Legit spend most of my playtime setting up toons for M+ and leveling new alts because no one does arena anymore. 2’s got nuked hard AF–for as dead as 3v3 may also be. Lol
