The in-game quest objective markers will ruin Forever. The journey and immersion includes reading the quest text and trying to figure out where to go and what to do. It doesn’t matter that it’s an optional feature. It will get rid of all the interactions where someone asks for help understanding a quest. All the social aspects of questing will disappear. The world will be full of people silently running to the next marker on their map.
If you can’t be bothered to read quest text, then you should be playing retail. This game is not meant for you.

That also needs to go. Anything that removes friction in questing needs to go. The journey is all about that friction.

I don’t think you understand a huge point though… Why wouldn’t players just pull up a 3rd party site that tells them where to go? It’s not like they wouldn’t be able to. It’s not like there wouldn’t be guides out there. Now I will say, I guess from a content perspective, for those wanting to, it could be quite good. May open up stuff for more build guide people and quest walkthrough guides and such.

This is fine if you prefer it this way. But you speak for your self and only your self. This is NOT the cut off for who can and can not enjoy Wow F. This is actually part of the problem. You think you can gate keep a game because some one wants to use an addon? Be better Scarret. This is a bad take.

I swear, I don’t understand the perspective of some of these guys. To be so convinced everything you think MUST be the right way, and also, not just yourself, but everyone must do it the way you think. People be wildin out here. I’m in total agreeance, people being offended and trying to force everyone’s conformation is quite a problem.

Not many people will do that. If you have the quest markers in game then most people will use them. The world will be much more lively and social and immersive if people have to use third party websites because fewer will do that.
