I love Shadowlands so far Blizzard but what I don’t love is the fact you want to time gate pvp players and massively put them behind PvE content.
(Yes PvE players I understand pvp is just a “Minigame” but to some it’s the main enjoyment of the game)
I believe a 3k cap would be fine per week and still stay competitive compared to PvE gear… Meanwhile PvE players will be grinding Mythic + and the Normal & Heroic Nathria raid pulling far ahead of the “miniscule pvp conquest cap currently” very little room for improvement for pvpers Blizz.
Pvp Season 1 starts tomorrow…I wish you all the best of luck in your push and decisions.
I will say this one final time please don’t time gate conquest gear so heavily to the
point it harms pvp players I should be allowed to grind if I want and not held back over a corporation decision. This is a Mmorpg I thought?
This is the most fun I have had since MoP Blizzard I just want to see it out to be successful for all players I don’t want to throw a tantrum more or less constructive criticism.
Conquest needs to be capped. It always has been and this isn’t an issue.
What is the issue is the current value of the cap. 550 conquest is too low in my opinion and should be increased baseline, or scale with rating as it always used to do.
3k is huge. You could literally cap gear in under 4 weeks without using the great vault which is a bit too much.
Honestly I think around 750 would be “suitable” 1k would be nice.
Oh I see the issue, just uncapped isn’t the solution. We just need it better.
It’s also important to consider that raiding, M+, and PvP are all separate pursuits as far as Blizzard is concerned.
It’s not all PvP vs PvE. They have to be looked at in an individualistic manner.
Makes me laugh though. M+ still have unlimted 210 gear and are complaining that the game is “raid or die” when they still have the best early gearing content available in game.
There needs to be a conquest cap, otherwide pvp players will overtake pve players in gear…
Dunno if you know this but gear drops is nerfed in shadowlands. each raid boss is only going to be dropping 3 pieces per boss for a raid of up to 30 people… So not everyone is going to get geared up quick (some may even have the bad luck to full clear raid and get no drops). Also don’t forget bonus rolls have been removed.
If conquest had no cap, we all know there’d be people who would spam it all week long and be fully geared from head to toe in a full armor set + weapon and have upgraded the each piece of gear to the max allowed, while on the otherhand you’ll have individuals who fully cleared normal and heroic raid who are still missing a majority of slots.
So I approve and think that Blizzard should raise the week 1 cap, so that at least players can afford to buy at least one piece of loot of their choice (including able to afford a weapon), but the cap should not be removed otherwise there’d be people who will just get fully geared within week one…
I agree, there does need to be a cap but one that’s comparable to how much loot a PvE has entry into.
From How I see it now in 2 weeks from my understanding is that a Pvper might be able to purchase a Belt meanwhile the people who spamed Mythic + ontop of normal/heroic raiding will be half way geared in 200ilvl + gear
So in 2 weeks I can buy my first piece of gear if the cap remains “500” which means on week 2 I will be able to open my crate from week 1 and maybe be able to buy a piece of gear or save for weapon.
Okay but there is what? 8 mythic+ dungeons
1normal tier raid
1heroic tier raid
That’s disingenuous though, you’ve combined two different forms of gearing. Of course doing more forms of content is going to give you access to more chances at loot.
If a PvPer also does M+ they too are going to have a much higher loot pool.
