on every server some punk always gets moderator of this channel and starts banning people/guilds they dont like and/or everybody. literally every server has a player created world channel. just make it a static channel and no player moderators please.

But World is a player created channel which is completely optional to join. If you need a channel to find a dungeon group there is always the unmoderated LookingForGroup channel.

Just out of curiosity…what is the world channel used for specifically?
Its a server wide player made channel so the entire faction can communicate, look for groups, call out PVP etc. Since its player made whenever the current owner logs out, someone else gets it, so they are free to ban people, put a password on it, etc.
The official LFG channel and I believe world defense are also server wide(your faction only), so usually once world has been killed the chat moves to one of those, which isn’t the end of the world. But you always have sour players trolling and spamming in these channels clogging them up from useful information.

This is why I’m asking what he’s trying to use it for. The LFG channel is for looking for groups and players can’t moderate it. Other than RCR. So if he’s looking for groups this would be the logical choice to use.
He wants a change so he can use the channel without being at the mercy of player moderation. Why? There’s an available solution. Makes no sense.
Oh I thought you were asking what it is used for in a general sense, not what the players on his specific server are using it for.

We’ve seen this post quite a bit and im trying to wrap my head around what the urgency of using this channel is. Seems like there’s a solution to this problem already. Unless there’s some use for the channel that LFG doesn’t cover.
I can’t think of any use outside of trolling or selling. Especially if players are locking it down. Seems to me the logical course would be to just use LFG for groups and trade for trade but people keep asking for a change to this channel. So there must be a reason to use it that im not seeing.
Idk how LFG is on other servers but it seems like RCR has kept LFG to it’s core purpose on my server: looking for groups.
There’s some chat not looking for groups but it’s definatly not like trade or barrens chat. Lol.
All of these posts have said the same thing. Players lock others out of this channel please fix. No reasoning as to what they are even using this channel for. Makes no sense…
