Remove or nerf Shrine of the Storm

This dungeon was poorly created by Blizzard, it is a terrible dungeon to the point where when I am given it, I am tempted to outright leave the dungeon immediately. Time and time again people do not know how to do this dungeon’s second to last boss, Lord Stormsong. It is simple, it really is, but apparently not for a lot of people. If you are a new player and you are sadly given this dungeon, expect many wipes on this boss because Blizzard does not know how to make an enjoyable and intuitive dungeon.

No, instead they give this boss that literally ruins the entire dungeon because so many people do not know how to fight him. I have tried telling people how to do it, and yet they still do not do it properly, and I am sick of it. Remove the dungeon because you FAILED to create a good dungeon, or nerf Lord Stormsong. Otherwise, it is a waste of time to ever do this dungeon unless you have people that know how to do it.

If you’re doing this for Kul Tirans, you can skip the dungeon portion of the requirements.

Why don’t people use the dungeon journal LIKE WHY?

Kek wiping on stormsong. Prot pally go brr. Keep the dungeon up to ego check players cause if you can’t figure that out then I highly doubt you’ll finish the last boss given the necessary interrupts and group splitting.

You get possessed by the octopus head and go for the orbs and players attack you…. Easy

Dungeon journal doesn’t have a visual demonstration of mechanics. Expecting people to playback/carry out what they read in a “textbook” is a stretch. It’s why watching fights/dry runs helps alot.

Like I don’t mind people dying/losing on the first pass, and it would be nice for someone to have enough intuition to get the mechanic on the second time it goes out. I only fault people still not speaking up on how to do something on the third or so pull.

But on the bright side it does describe the fight. Since blizz designed the fight and so they know what to put on the journal.

No, git gud.

It doesn’t use colors to describe. Like you have some that you are supposed to soak and then others to dodge

Yeah and while they’re at it, they can remove Oculus too, because no one has ever known how to do the drake portion of that dungeon.

And I guess you can remove Halls of Lightning too, because no one ever knows to stack on Loken until he AoEs and then spread and then stack back up or you wipe. Not to mention the Runeshapers and their whirlwinds.

And you know, you can take out Blackrock Caverns from timewalking, because no one knows how to do literally any boss in there.

Also maybe take out Blackrock Depths, because no one knows how to do the bosses required and just ends up doing the whole dungeon.

And you know I guess get rid of Skyreach, because no one ever knows how to do the wind puzzle.

Need I go on? lol

Some dungeons are just poorly designed for new players. That’s unfortunately just how it is. You just have to roll with the punches and if you REALLY don’t want to do a dungeon, just leave. :man_shrugging:

I usually post on all caps to gobble up the purple void balls if you get mind controlled.

Sometimes it takes two wipes before they get it or I ditch. Thankfully, I’ve hit the character cap and have all classes at 50 or 60 so it won’t be bothering me again for a while.

Lol, complaining about last expansion’s dungeons.

I’ma be honest. I played all of bfa and never really paid attention to the mechs of that boss. I think you just eat the orbies and kite the boss so he doesn’t eat them inatead. That about it? It’s basically pacman.

Next expansion, players are going to have the exact same complaint about surgeon stitchflesh.

Groups give time to read the dungeon journal?

How can a classic player actually do this instance ? Also, just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean others don’t, just saying.

I did the dungeons the other day to level up my rogue, the zones that reduce damage for mobs/boss probably should get nerfed a bit as that can be a bit infuriating for tanks and groups that don’t know. I had to tell the tank.

As for mc boss (3rd boss), we just had the dps to kill him quick enough that one person getting perma mc worked out. Maybe it could be ajusted some way, that boss was even awkward during BFA because on high keys and tyranical people jumped in the pool behind him to get rid of shield that mc you.

New players don’t have a choice sadly.

Shrine is every bad mechanic in BFA shoved into one dungeon. It sucked then and it still sucks for new players today. BFA dungeons as a whole have way too many mechanics for noobies and Shrine is simply the worst one.

so if it is regarding this… the octopus head actually is scaled badly for leveling dungeons. people cant do enough dps even with full heritage gear and enchants to stop the mind control. If its not, idk what to say

The problem is technicly the mechanic is to soak all orbs to break so the game doesn’t really tell you to switch to break the shield by targeting him. They could put a red debuff or arrow. People still struggled last expansion to break it, so there’s that. maybe the timer to break it should also be longer.
