Not only are there language barriers, but they constantly lag and/or disconnect when we play together.
It is not only unfair to the US people, but to them as well.
Just put them in their own server please!

More people need to play eve.
You work out ways to get US, OCE, British, French, German, Russian, hell I even rolled with Finland peeps…all on the same sheet of music.

There is no “language barrier” between US and OCE servers.

edit: I also like to troll brits and aussies based on who won that ashes that year. I know things about cricket no American should really know from my time with OCE players lol.

The population in Brazilian / LA realms isn’t large enough to justify separating us from the rest of the US servers. If this happens it will basically kill the game for players here in South America.

Its the same situation for Oceanic. Now and then someone makes this proposterous request without thinking about the health of the game as a whole.
World of Warcraft is not a purely American game. It is made and operates in the US but it is a global game and certain people need to remember that.

the really funny thing here, at least pvp side, is its not the language barrier they think it is.
People, US based, aren’t even reading chat. or are reading…and just blowing it off.
I have been in IOC"s with the dreaded 3 way split of doom. you see this and you go…yeah, this is a loss 5 seconds in.
with the side note of it be the Rag players who actually lined up the on the right gate for the called hangar run in chat.
15 people from say Illidan and a52 or any US server name split for docks/ ws to ensure this match is about to go straight to crap.
I can count on one hand the number of times this dreaded “language barrier” has caused issues in groups… It’s overblown.
While it can be frustrating playing with Oceanic lag, if they weren’t connected to NA, they’d just be connected to EU. Either way, it’s just reality when trying to group with players on the other side of the planet.

No, we don’t have the enough population to keep servers and Blizzard don’t have the infrastucture to provide servers closer to our regions. It’s a valid concern but we need also a population to keep things like LFG, LFR and other fuctions.
It isn’t the fault of the players on those servers that blizzard hasn’t found a technological solution to the lag.

That oce link to US is garbage. and I don’t think its the ISP side in Australia.
I have known many OCE peeps. when blizzard’s OCE-US route has gone to crap their other US internet hits are fine.
This can be a few days monthly. It was damn near like a bill when I was OCE server based. It always comes in the mail so to speak lol.
