Here are the parses for Mythic raid. Blizzard have nerfed the raid into the ground at this point. Yet these logs are terrible. Barely anyone clears the Mythic raid.

I find it really hard to even justify the existence of Mythic raiding at all at this point
. At least expansions like Legion and BFA had borrowed power which allowed bad players to over time simply outpower the difficulty of Mythic raiding, through stuff like corruption. Now with ilvl being king, ppl have to gitgud, there is no other option, and it seems clear the WoW playerbase simply cant.
Should WoW continue to focus so much on Mythic raiding, something barely anyone does? Or should the focus of WoW when it comes to talents, gearing and gameplay change to suit the part of the playerbase that does not Mythic raid (pretty much everyone)?

Forming the group and finding a static set of players to stick with it week after week is the hardest part of mythic raiding. If the head of Blizzard didnât do it, it would have probably been scrapped by now.

How much time do you think a mythic raid takes versus just the heroic, normal, and lfr versions? How much time do you think they would save?

DF is the first time Iâm actually pushing into mythic.
Season 1 got 2 bosses down
Season 2 got 4 bosses down
Looking forward to season 3
My team was originally just an aotc focused guild but mythic actually seems pretty accessible for us now.

We at the end of the season within few weeks all of those gears will end being replaced.
As my post makes clear, the issue isnt just the time spent (wasted) on Mythic raiding.
It is that every other aspect of the game has to be suited to fit this incredibly niche thing done by no one.

More likely than not, if raids were removed the development budget wouldnât go to overworld content or PvP balance or something like that, it would go to another game and another team.

We donât have to take away something for Blizzard to work on improving other parts of the game. High end raiding gives some players a goal to work for. It gives some players a need level of challenge, why reduce others enjoyment?
Because it isnt ´´some players``, these numbers show it is barely anyone.
And the development of Mythic raiding affects literally every other part of the game.
Gearing, class balance and power progression. All balanced around 20-man content done by less than 1 % of the playerbase.

Imo, no. But the developers are making th game the way they want to. They want the game to be about community raiding. Now whether thatâs because, statistically speaking, data shows that players engaged in a guild play more often for longer, or just a passion of theirs, idk. I wish it was made separate from mythic+.

Say they remove mythic raiding. Then Heroic becomes the new apex tier, maybe it gets increased mechanics, and balance revolves around H instead.
