Remove Mythic Plus Timers Then

Dont like the extra gear progression nerf you are putting on Mythic plus players. You need to remove timers if you wanna do this or as someone suggested:

Edit: best suggestion thus far.

"They need to limit players to 1 run of each M+ dungeon per week, that way M+ is playing by the same rules as raiding and everyone else, and we can put this to rest."

…and remove the timer.

They are on timers. The difference is : if you don’t beat the timer in a raid, you don’t get loot.

Exactly nerf the loot drops for actually successfully completing the content on time lmao. Why even have timers if people are just going to leave pugs now once it expires due to the low % loot drop.

Are you trying to advocate for another change that would arguably make mythic+ worse?

How is removing the timer making mythic plus, worse. I just dont see it.

This is a lot more fair than the other option of putting M+ on a weekly lockout.

M+ was beating raiding in terms of gearing. So if something is easily spammable, then it should have a drawback somewhere yet it didn’t. Now it does, and it’s only a small one that’ll get overshadowed by the buff to the end of the week chest.

Because it gives you stakes, it feels satisfying when you improve a key by more than once. How would you measure improving a key without a timer? The timer also provides a sense of competitiveness and is what the MDI is based on.

Basically this, anyone who has a brain can see why Blizzard made the changes to mythic+. Anyone who thinks it’s wrong is just an entitled clown

You can measure improvement by NOT being able to complete the content at higher keys because of the weakness of your group? People not being able to even complete keys happens just like it does in raids.

But it is a far less limiting factor. Like oh we can just wait for hero for every boss on this +26 even though we can only time a +19.

This, pretty much. People will still get mythic raid level gear in their weekly chest, just at a slower pace. Which is completely warranted, given that it’s a far easier method of obtaining a 266 ilvl piece of loot. Raiding should always be the main end game content.

This change is good. I’m the type of player who won’t raid if there isn’t any real reason to. With m+ drops being lower than heroic raiding I’m far more likely to jump into raids. Plus you still get your weekly reward of a mythic raid item of your choice. How many pieces of gear does anyone still wear that were actual drops out of your m+ run.

There is no enrage timer for dungeon bosses like there is in raid. So you could just bring 3 tanks and 2 healers and never die.

People do that in raiding regularly, ever reset a boss?!

Thats archaic, why can both not exist at the same time? Already raiding will always have the best gear because I bet they will continue this trend of the last 2 bosses having higher loot level. But mythic+ is equally as competitive as mythic raiding in terms of pushing keys and is likely a far more popular system than raiding as it is more casual friendly.

The difference in mythic+ is that you aren’t reseting a boss you are waiting 10 minutes before you attack the next one.

Then implement one, I for one would welcome it over a timer.

Of course you don’t get it! You don’t do High Keys, if there was no timer people would just brute force it. I’ve seen so many people spend hours on a key that they’re way under geared for just because they get loot at the end.

So? So freaking what?! You just told me raiding is less of a hassle!

Let’s not kill the game. That said, I’d probably do mythic+ if there was no timer. I don’t like speed running.

I was reading your post seriously and then this happened. I can already see this debate devolving into something ugly so I’m just going to take the shortcut response.

Let’s agree to disagree.
