Hello everyone,
I wanted to bring up a topic that has been bothering me and many other hunters for a while now—Multi-Shot being on the global cooldown (GCD). I believe removing Multi-Shot from the GCD would significantly improve the quality of life and overall gameplay experience for hunters. Here’s why:
1. Clunky Gameplay and Flow Disruption
As it stands, Multi-Shot being on the GCD makes our rotation feel awkward and clunky, especially in high-pressure situations like Mythic+ dungeons or raids. When dealing with multiple targets, having to wait for the GCD to finish before using Multi-Shot disrupts the flow of combat and makes our AoE rotation feel sluggish. Hunters thrive on fluidity and quick decision-making, and the current GCD application directly opposes this playstyle.
2. Limits Strategic Options in Multi-Target Situations
Multi-Shot is crucial for engaging multiple enemies, triggering Beast Cleave, and spreading Serpent Sting. Having it on the GCD limits our ability to quickly adapt to shifting threats and engage in responsive, dynamic gameplay. For a class that’s supposed to excel in mobility and adaptability, being hamstrung by the GCD feels restrictive and counterproductive.
3. Reduces the Fun Factor of Playing Hunter
Let’s be honest—one of the reasons we play hunters is because they’re fun! Part of that fun comes from the fast-paced, responsive combat style that we’re known for. By putting Multi-Shot on the GCD, it creates unnecessary friction and makes our core abilities feel less impactful and more like a chore. We want to feel powerful and effective, not like we’re constantly fighting against the game’s mechanics.
4. Inconsistent with Other AoE Abilities
Looking across other classes, many AoE abilities aren’t on the GCD or have mechanisms that allow for smoother, more immediate action. Hunters should not be at a disadvantage compared to other classes when it comes to AoE damage output and rotation fluidity. Removing Multi-Shot from the GCD would bring us more in line with other classes and ensure fairness in multi-target scenarios.
5. Encourages More Active and Engaging Gameplay
Removing Multi-Shot from the GCD would encourage more active and engaging gameplay. Hunters would have the freedom to make quicker decisions and react to combat situations in real-time, rather than feeling artificially slowed down. This change would enhance our ability to contribute meaningfully to group content, making hunters more dynamic and exciting to play.
Conclusion
Overall, taking Multi-Shot off the GCD would greatly improve the hunter experience by making our rotations smoother, enhancing our ability to react to combat situations, and simply making the game more fun to play. I hope Blizzard considers this change to improve the quality of life for all hunters out there!
