With the fast pace of classic the 1 week MC lockout is far too long given that BWL etc is going to be out alot faster than in vanilla .
These lockouts should be at least half that so that progression guilds can gear up raiders in preparation for BWL / AQ

Oh yeah, that’s definitely happening.
Blizzard loves their time gates. Just look at retail. I’m honestly surprised they didn’t add more with classic, but the #nochanges crowd would have thrown the biggest most justified fit in the history of fits if they had.
This actually makes a good point. With the reduced time between releases of content people have less chances to farm the items than they would have in Vanilla. The historical lockouts are not in line with the faster schedule.
Not that I think Blizzard will change them but it is logical.
Onyxia is on a 5 day lock out not a week lockout.
Not sure why your lumping Onyxia and MC together in this.
Just because BWL is out, doesn’t mean people won’t raid MC or Ony.

Yep but it should be 2 day lockout to simulate the time frame of vanilla if it was progressing at the rapid rate that classic will.
Sounds like you want to speed up the content. Regardless of when the phases come out, you can still go at a slower pace. I mean, just because BWL releases, doesn’t mean MC is going away.
What the heck, make them like dungeons and able to be reset five times an hour.

This argument is null, this isn’t retail… people don’t stop running MC just because BWL gets released.
Didn’t get enough gear out of Mc to progress through BWL? Continue to gear up until you can progress, then run MC again indefinitely on a weekly basis for the next 2 years like everyone else who cares.
True but it’s clear blizzard aren’t stalling content releases in classic to farm subs so what is the point of having lockouts so long?
Do you have to clear BWL and latter raids the day they come out? Would it be that awful to not compete with APES and actually still do MC/Ony during P3 to progress?
But shadowlands is out soon so we need to rush through classic so we can buy that content right?
They have all the time they need to gear for BWL. No one was ever told every player had to be in full BIS before they released the next raid.
So why have the time gate if it doesn’t matter?
If you want to simulate vanilla, you can go in and NOT clear MC for another month.
Progression guilds will have these dungeons on farm for over 3 months before bwl. How much gearing do you require?
There is no announcement as to exactly when BWL will come out. The only thing said is that it will come out in the 1st quarter of 2020 which can be as late as April and still be in the first quarter.
