What is the difference between that and current system? Current system always have a difficulty tier list and different loot table. The participation rate is always different depends on dungeons.
If players don’t like a certain dungeon, don’t need loot from a dungeon, or find it is too hard, they will avoid to do it, even if they have the key.
And they will pug other dungeons they want to do, with others’ keys.
Keys achieve nothing.
And what is wrong with players only want to do certain dungeons? If some people only want to do specific dungeons, avoid others, and dont care about rating, let them be.
There is no point to limit players’ choice and freedom.
Keys keep people from spamming one dungeon harder than they already do. This has been proven.
Even without keys we will still try and spam the easiest dungeon to fill the vault, SMBG from DF was a terrible example of this. If we didn’t have keys, every group would have been for SMBG.
It is Blizzard’s job to balance dungeons better in terms of difficulty, instead of artificially limit players by keys.
And what is wrong if some players only wamt to do specific dungeons they find fun, easier or useful, if they don’t care about rating? Let them do that!
Spamming one dungeon won’t get one KSM. For players who cares to push rating, they have to do all dungeons eventually.
It is players’ freedom to do M+ in diffferent ways. Why limit their choice?
Delves you can choose any normal delve as you want, i think the whole key system is the major problem in mythic + , its just designed for people to grind in hopes of getting the right key and timing it
Yes I agree. I would change title to remove M+ keystones. Keystones serve no purpose except adding negative competition among players by selecting for meta specs and only invited overly rated players for their lower keys. They should be able to just queue up for the dungeon and difficulty level they want.
I would not play wow without keys, just undo the tank tunning aka tank nerfes and all will be sunshine and rainbows. Oh and give brewmaster monks a buff up maybe make us the new paladins, im sick of spamming shield on my pally the 3 button crusher.
If there was no restriction, people would just choose the easiest dungeon to do at the highest feasible key level they could do and just spam that. People already kind of do this, but keys bake in at least a little variety.
In a game with no depletion and people can just choose the key level they want, by the end of the season, very few people are running lower keys, because everyone has already progressed to doing +14s and above, making it exponentially harder for someone late to the season to come into the system the longer the season goes on. Think about delves. Levels 1-6 become basically useless as soon as you unlock 7-8 because people prefer to do the highest available to them for the best reward. Same thing with M+.
Even though i am not doing M+ this season i dont want them to be scrapped.
I think the squish was just a big wake up call to a vast majority of players who thought they were better players than they are honestly.
I am loving delves and dont feel rewards should be nerfed. If they didnt allow people to bank coffer keys prior to M+ opening people would not have been geared up as fast and would have needed to climb through the M+ key ranks.
Instead they said i dont need to do lower keys because they offer no ilvl upgrade so I’ll just go into a mid to high level key. Then they got a rude awakening.
This is kind of how it is already. There’s a slight range to it, but on my main I can’t tell you the last time I did anything below a 10 without looking it up.
They could also incentivize players to do lower keys if they have completed them. e.g. You get +20% extra gold at the end of dungeon for each level you’ve completed above this key. It would require players get more than 54 gold at the end of runs now, but they could certainly do things like that.
I don’t think they’re going to make lower keys more lucrative than higher ones. They would have to, to get people to do them, which sort of defeats the purpose. People would also probably come to resent having to grind lower, boring keys that offer them no challenge in order to do it just for gold.
