Remove key depletion

Why can’t we remove automatic deplete after not timing it?

What’s the major reason behind that game design. Why can’t I retry at the same key level if the key goes bust.

A lot of toxicity in PUGs comes from that.

you’d eventually get stuck in keys you can’t complete because you keep wiping and wiping.

Then I can deplete in valdrakken. It’d be my own choice.

If one can’t time a key then it only makes sense that they’d be given a weaker one.

The corallary is that you’ll grind and grind and grind until you find a group to carry you through the next key, which really isn’t necessarily cool either.

The singular problem with key depletion is not missing the timer, its group drama and folks quitting before you even get chance to fail the timer.

Makes absolutely no sense at all. Sometimes it’s a disconnect, sometimes it’s something else.

IMHO it should not be blizz who’s dictating me if my group is ready or not. If we decide to wipe 50 times in a +20 it’s our choice.

okay. makes sense. yea, i’d be good with this as long as there’s a way back down.

These aren’t common in this day and age.

Sure, you just don’t get a better key for finishing it.

Bold assumption… Had more disconnects due to dragonride jumping against some corner than in any other expansion.

This is also false. You can improve your strategy. Mage Tower was no different than that or did you finish it first try?

A forced disconnect isn’t loss of internet. It takes like 30 seconds to get back in.

They should remove wiping on raid bosses too, why do the bosses kill us Blizzard? We should just be able to keep going until the boss is dead.

We literally do this? We wipe, we improve, we eventually kill the boss. It’s not like you get thrown back to normal if you wipe on heroic after each try.

What is this argument. It’s stupid

Eh… you kinda do? Do the bosses get easier and drop worse loot after each wipe?

raiding is based on wiping and learning and improving.

M+ assumes you one-shot every fight. it’s a really weird system of PvE.

Because people that say want to time a 20 could keep practicing the same 20 key over and over until it is eventually timed.

Wipe on first boss.
Reset

Wipe on third trash pull.
Reset

It completely makes sense why they deplete

And that would be bad exactly why? Echo is doing exactly this on tournament realms… If they’re not fine with how pulls went, they’d try it again on the same level.

I see no disadvantage of premade groups who choose to wipe 20 times on their key till they are happy with their strategy.

This right here.

Instead of making M+ more challenging, and require planning and a “we’ll come back to this tomorrow” attitude that won’t fly with the instant gratification that M+ is built around, Blizzard added depleting keys, and randomized keys, instead.

I agree OP, they should go back to how it was at the start of legion and completely deplete to where you have to start over at +2

Or just scrap M+ and go back to Challenge Modes with awesome cosmetic rewards.

I don’t remember many complaints about Challenge Mode in MoP or WoD.

It’s not like they kicked you out if you don’t time it… You just lose the rank.

The reason that you say doesn’t make senses is because they’re trying to encourage you to be better.

You might not like that and that’s a fair argument… But that is the intent and it does make sense
