Is it okay if we looked into removing the guild charter requirements to have others sign it? It’s an old and outdated requirement and doesn’t really serve a purpose for those who would like to start their own personal (bank inventory) guild just for their own toons and alts (and to store their own profession mats).
Also, can we perhaps look into having ways to invite your own alts into your own bank guild without the hassle of going through strangers?
I don’t know, it’s just a thought. Do you guys like this idea?
Register your guild for public recruitment and then search for your guild in the guild finder on your alt and apply to it. Afterwards, switch back to the guild master character and accept the alt’s request.
You don’t need strangers to invite your alts. Open the guild for recruitment with a note like “this is a solo guild for my alts only.” Log out of that character, log on with an alt. Have the alt apply to join the guild, log out. Log back in on the guild leader character and accept the application. Log in again on the alt and join the guild.
I agree it would be nice to be able to create the guild without getting signatures from random strangers.
I mean the shortcut method would be giving your ranks invite rights and asking one of the randos who you bribed to sign to also do a few quick guild invites before they get the boot.
But it really isn’t all that much extra effort. Just sign into each alt, apply, and then sign into your GM and accept all the alts and then next time you play each alt, check the guild recruitment page again and your pending invite will be there.
it’s what keeps every single guild name from being taken as soon as somebody gets an idea for one.
Also, the idea for a guild is to have other people in it. It’s not intended as an alt piggy-bank. It makes sense that you go into it with a handful of people.
You can do this solo by listing your guild for recruitment then applying, and logging back to your main to send the invite, then back to the invitee to…accept the invite.
I would like this to happen as well.
I tried twice this week to get my charter signed and even offering 1k a pop for signing, nobody would take a minute to sign it.
My banks are full on a lot of my characters so the next logical step was starting a bank guild.
Ya Ya I know that’s not what a guild is supposed to be, but personal bank guilds have been a thing forever, so the cat has been out of the bag a long time, no point in worrying about it now.
