I’m a duelist healer and I support the existence of silences as a form of cc in this game.
Dwarf racial tho I think should gtfo.

They just need to nerf their damage.
Assa rogues would be fine with losing garrote spam if dwarf was yeeted.

Ya and its everyones biggest gripe with assa.
The damage is actually manageable, but when you can opt to miss kick and still have 6 ways to stop the caster the second precog drops, or alternatively not use kick because you have 6 ways to stop the caster, it’s suppppppppper cancer.
The biggest issue with it is the aoe garroting. Punishes you for losing in an unavoidable way. Most assa comps you need to stack behind a pillar to live a wizard, but then you just die to triple silence aoe spam.

ofc this can’t exist in a vacuum and the whole of assassinations 'damage profile would need to be simplified or reworked but that’s ok too. they’ve gone too far down this pipeline

- Every dps spec has to do reasonably well
- In order to do reasonably well they have to be able to land kills
- To land kills they need to have enough cc and damage
- The less of one they have the more of the other they need

isn’t shiv aoe too, so the massive healing reduc hits everyone + the aoe slow?
It’s one of only three or four in the game, really benefits heterogeneity.
If it’s got abuse potential with TWW talents, I would concern myself with the TWW talents, not just pruning garrote.

If you want to bring authenticity into that ability then make it so it only works from behind, same with backstab. Silly you can use those abilities from any direction, do Rogues have putty arms that stretch, bend, and loops behind the target?
