how is this really any different from leaving to sit in queue AGAIN to kill 3 bosses then leave again?

let me explain it to you then

queue lfr to kill 3 bosses = expectation and what you should do. if you leave before completing 3 bosses? then 30m penalty

queue lfr to kill 3 bosses but join 2/3 = you should be able to leave since you are not getting what you queued up for and should not face a penalty for leaving, since its wasting your time and not what you queued for

i am queueing for 3 bosses, not 1

You queue for a wing. The tool just shows which bosses are in which wing and which ones you have/havenā€™t killed this week.

Donā€™t want the deserter debuff? Donā€™t desert the group. Itā€™s really that simple.

Unless somethings changed; finishing that last boss kill gets you priority to a fresh your next que, while leaving has just as a high a chance to put you back in a partial fill; so i dont know why youd care about getting the chance to reque into the same partial group faster.

if anything deserter just decreases the chance youll end up in that group again.

No someone else deserted and now op is being punished for it and if they do stick around and then requeue to kill the two bosses they miss another group will then also be punished when they leave as the cycle is renewed.
