Lockouts are not needed in HC for dungeons. It’s a risk/reward problem. There is risk running dungeons so the rewards offset the risks.
If you are worried about boosting then put in the SOM anti boosting XP penalties. Boosters aren’t going to work well in HC anyway. Boosters die a lot.
The only rule on HC servers should be, if you die, you have to reroll.
Limiting the amount of dungeons per day is only hurting the game. It makes people more selective about who they do dungeons with and when they do them. Or it’s making them just quit the game because they can’t run a dungeon when they want.
If people want to run dungeons all the way to 60 and can live, they should be able to do it. The vast majority of people won’t do this or don’t have the skill to do this.
You are penalizing the random dad gamer from getting the 1 item he wants from a dungeon because you are worried about the 1% of people who will run dungeons all the way to 60.
The dad gamer is just completely screwed if the item he wants doesn’t drop. Sorry wait another 24 hrs to try again. Can’t play in 24 hrs? Too bad. Wait until next weekend i guess. It’s the perfect way to kill the game mode.
The 24 hour lockout is much less restrictive than the community-imposed 1 dungeon run per character. So I don’t think this is going to kill the HC experience.
I am making characters on HC man. I tried to give it a shot. It is just so boring and the dungeon lockout makes me not want to play. If an item doesn’t drop I want then I have to wait 24 hr to try again.
The absolutely absurd amount of layers has taken that away.
I’m standing in Orgrimmar right now…alone. I use /who and there’s about 160 people in Orgrimmar. Spread through maybe 10 layers? It’s a joke how empty the world is because of this.
The HC community thriving with harsher rules suggest otherwise. And your immediate personal attacks suggest your own level of childishness. Be careful whom you call naive.
limiting dungeon to one per day has nothing to do with being anti social, the social aspect in the game doesn’t relay on running dungeons…
this is the same dumb idea people claimed when they was hating on RDF and most of those people are abusers / real money traders, so you’re probably want to abuse boost / sell dungeon items / do RMT and you hate the dungeon limit for that.
