Remove Discipline Priest PvP Damage Nerf

Hi,

Please remove the flat PvP damage nerf from discipline priests.

That is all.

I Q’d a game the other day against an identically geared holy priest (as disc).

My average smites were 1721, his were 3652 (same crit %).

My average purge the wicked ticks were 350 (an ability you talent in to), his Sw:P ticks were 750 (kekw).

Holy fires were like 7k my bind blasts were 4k.

Idk I mean I pump on disc but makes absolutely negative sense that holy just doing twice as much damage for absolutely no reason, particularly when disc is supposed to be the damage healer.

I swear they just make changes and forget they’ve even made them. Current damage balance between disc and holy defies logic.

I think in the end I did 375k damage, he did 300k and I pressed something like 33 more damage globals than him.

It feels really bad to need to use Radiance to actually be able to do dmg with penance.
Or I’m playing the spec wrong lol

I think the existence of schism and dark arch makes it hard to do this even if it feels really bad to have your damage feel weaker

But just imagine if Kyrian priest damage wasn’t nerfed for disc and you ever got schism dark arch off, it would do the most DISGUSTING damage in the world

Of course it would be far easier to shut down compared to a Holy go because no fade/holy ward but still I think just that worry is why they’ve kept all these nerfs in

I play Kyrian on my disc priest with schism


30k big penance hits and 19-20k ascended blast hits


Disc is fine.

I would prefer damage nerfs to kyrian and schism over my regular buttons but I agree those abilities would pump

Between your history of caps lock rage posts over Warlocks, and you having played less than 200 total games as a Disc Priest at sub-Rival, don’t you feel goofy making that post telling long-time Disc mains that their opinions are null? Lol

? Lol. Just say you don’t know your class since you’re such a “Long time disc main” and think it’s bad.

Compared to Disc
Affliction is the one that actually needs help.

anyone know a good rule to conserve mana?

Tell your teammates to kill the enemy team faster.

Play night fae and hit your target with as much stuff as possible with it up, like penance for damage and fiend

Use defensives earlier than later

Try not to mend too much

Aside from that as kennie said win faster

You need to play with people that know how to mitigate as much damage as they can when it makes sense. And at the same time they do big dam pressure with you

I almost never go oom before any healer other than rdru and mw if we cycle defensives right, and pre run goes that we don’t have stuff for, and I don’t play NF

Also don’t really press mend unless you have the free one up.

Empowered penance is like a 50% heal, and 4 set empowered is a lay on hands. So use that to heal instead of damage when needed. Position yourself in a way that you won’t get kicked on the fat penances. It’s your lowest mana ability and is usually my highest heal at the end of a game. Outside of goes it’s tickle pressure when used offensively/ for atone healing

Disclaimer, I play disc a lot different than other discs on this forum, judging from other topics where I have much different advice from similar/higher rated ones

Pretty sure I was referencing the Glad Disc who started the thread whom you were dismissing based on your relatively low experience. But go off, queen.
