No boon was added because you needed to get your buffs well ahead of time and once you had your buffs you couldn’t play that character anymore because you couldn’t afford to lose the time on the buffs.

No, boons were added because people kept crying about dying with them even though they rolled pvp server
The better trade off would be you can only unboon in rested areas. brm is legit soft

you can just not use them. they dont need to be removed.

releasing the honor system without a bg while every guld was trying to raide MC is what made me rage quit in 2019 classic.
Most of us collected WB’s just before raid and it was all very organized using lock services to move around the map.
Those are some nice world buffs you have there.
Would be a shame if you lost them!
remove worldbuffs from raids entirely.
world buffs should only be active while in the world, not an instance.

It wasn’t to hard before they put them in, so no having them has little impact on making things more/less of a challenge. It’s simply a quality of life improvement for people who don’t want to save buffs for a raid, and allows them to continue playing.
The fact that it makes all the sad little griefers cry and scream and come whining to the forums because they lost their favorite little hobby of stripping buffs from people going to raids instead of looking for actual PvP is only the icing on the cake.

Not really, some just like the challenge, but there are lots of different types of PvP.
yes, if you take joy in causing grief to other people, you are sadistic.
pvping with the intention of removing worldbuffs that people collected is grieving, which is why chronoboons were added in the first place.
if that is the type of pvp you enjoy then yes, YOU ARE A SADISTIC POS. the worst kind of player

there is no problem with pvp on a pvp server. there is a problem with pvp when you do it because you wish to grieve the other faction, and people who find joy in that type of gameplay are the absolute worst bottom of the barrel pvpers. actual scum. its the same people who are level 60 but camp level 20s in stone talon, in red ridge, or darkshire, or anywhere. scum.
i can accept that the masses will never want to give up their WBs but i don’t see why we can’t have a server for people who want to raid properly
Part of the fun of world buffs is going to BRM as a guild, having scouted players in brm intentionally trying to wipe you and beating them to get through. World buffs add stakes to the game - a reason to not die in and outside of the raid. Current chronoboon removed all of these stakes besides “dying in raid”. But the fun is outside of the raid.
I wouldnt mind unbooning in rested areas, that way “you dont have to log out all week”

the thing is that you dont need world buffs. its not like theyre mandatory. having them exist doesnt affect you in any way when you can just choose not to use them. there is no point to having a server without world buffs or chonoboons because you can choose to not use them, and as a raid leader you can just kick people that did collect them if you really care that much.
its a non issue.

yeah but they won’t agree to this because the true reason is they’re scared of pvp
