I would like to see chat be removed from the game because I am the type of person that doesn’t take trash from anyone and more often then not I end up blowing up on that person in PMs and putting them on ignore, however, my ignore list is full and I need an alternate method to ignore people such as removing chat. I play WOW at the extreme end of the toxicity scale where players leave mid dungeon in mythic+ 15 on a regular basis and or just trash talk and I’d rather not even hear it. This game has always been about driving efficiency and spreadsheet dps and a lot of these players are so stupid they don’t even realize that there is more to being a good player than just being top dps and ignoring mechanics. I wish I had taken screenshots of more than 10 players dying to Vexiona’s breathe attack and just simply saying “my bad my addon messed up”. To this day I still don’t even have a Vexiona kill because of it. I would also like to see Raiderio removed because im tired of sitting in queue just getting declined for groups at 1,500 io rating for an hour straight. You can say that 1,500 rating is bad ok cool whatever, but I’m telling you that Raiderio is resulting in a toxic community of “declining all nobody is good enough” type of mentality that has been ruinig the game. I am ok with having dps meters, but having websites that record parses and track io rating just doesn’t make sense. I am trying to get a dungeon done I am not trying to apply for a job to impress someone sitting behind an HR desk not like that’s happening anyway with Covid-19 going on. The only person I want to talk to is my brother in discord so in the meantime I will look for an addon that get’s rid of chat. Also I guess one more thing before I see myself out is that if you are a really really good player you would truly know that dps right is based on RNG after RNG of did my item roll a socket? did my item roll tier 3 twilight devastation? did my item get tier 3 infinite stars? right now as of this patch your dps is largely out of your control and you are at the mercy of a slot machine to get good corruption effects to do good dps. I am 472 item level and pull 60-70k consistently and still have people calling my dps bad so take it for what you will.

Set up Parental controls, there is an option to mute all chat, but it will also disable real id chat as well, so use with caution.

Well on the other end of the spectrum some play this game with friends and chat is an important element of the game.
It sounds like you are directly contributing to the toxic stuff that goes on.
Maybe try to be the solution and not the problem???

WoW has always been a community driven game. Only recently has solo content been added. I believe finding a community or guild will help resolve your issues. If you don’t then maybe WoW isn’t the game for you…
Just disable your chat. Other than that, ya gotta learn to just let sh*t roll, brother. You’ll live a lot longer.
