Especially with the new poison/assassination build runes Rogues will expend all of their poison charges mid fight and may need to re-apply multiple times per fight.

agreed, removing charges affects nothing and gives no power buff, the only people who will notice this change are rogue players.
lower duration if you have to to compensate, but charges are going to suck.
This seems like a reasonable and, somewhat, necessary adjustment.
+1 for removing poison charges.
There shouldn’t need to be a compensation, if anything they should just consider upping it to 1 hour (also TBC change).
if they up to 1 hour i hope they give us the option to right click the buff to remove it (or change shaman WF)
Why would this be an issue? You simply don’t apply a poison on your main-hand weapon when you have access to Windfury totem.
Obligatory I’m a rogue posting in the poison thread to also show my support for the removal of charges
Not sure about you but i have applied it on mistake to MH before, and you cant right-click remove it to then get shaman WF buff.
Ah, well obligatory “lulz get gud noob”, but ya probably should be allowed to remove the buff that way.
Yeah, seems like a necessary change for the poison assassination build that the runes are pushing.
Also make poisons separate from windfury/sharpening stones.
Just quoting you all for convenience. If you have Wild Strikes (druid wf) you can still use the poison since Wild Strikes is a buff not an imbuement.
I don’t think that is going to happen, also Rogues will likely be in Druid groups for Wild Strikes.
Still yet to be known what will be optimal so rogues on the horde may still need to not use a poison on the MH.
Nah keep charges. I can’t wait to have 6-12 daggers in my bag with poisons pre-applied so I can hotswap to them mid fight as the poison charges drop off. Think of the RP flavor of a rogue embedding daggers in a target, then just unsheathing 2 more and keeping going. Pure genius blizzard, I love this for us.
