Remove Challenger's Peril from M+ or change it, it's literally killing pugs right now

We all know pugs were already toxic and full of elitism, but now? With Challenger’s Peril this problem is elevated by 3x, exactly like Challenger’s Peril increased death penalty.

1 wipe? People leave.

“Oh but people always left keys” yeah but this affix is ENCOURAGING this kind of behavior even more, and that’s a HUGE problem.

People with M+ teams don’t have this problem, but pugs? Pugs are turning into a nightmare atm, not only you have to wait 30 minutes to 1 hour to even join or fill a pug group, but now? Anything and people already leaves.

Change or remove this affix, it’s worse than Sanguine, Necrotic, Explosive and all the other affixes that we had before, i have no problem with Fort + Tyran at the same time although i find it lazy to increase difficulty by just increasing scaling health and damage.

You removed the bad affixes and introduced an even WORSE one, and to top all those problems you also chose the worst dungeons possible for this season, i really wanna know whose idea was to bring Mists back, Jesus Christ… No one cares about the puzzle, everyone uses an addon or WA to do it, it’s just annoying and boring.

Make it so we gain time by killing a boss or we RECOVER time lost by death after killing a boss on 7+ keys, or by doing some affix mechanic correctly i don’t know, just fix this, i see everywhere people quitting M+ this season already, locked at 619 ilvl.

Just bring DF S3 back again, it was the most fun i had with M+ since BFA last patch with corruptions.

Edit: I have an idea, add to Challenger’s Peril description something that says “Recover half the time lost by this affix after killing a boss during a M+ encounter” or something like this, it would make pugging keys 100x better just by putting this recover mechanic on it.

I kind of like that 1 wipe = group falls apart.

This is the kind of behavior you already have in 10+ anyways. DF S3 was kind of silly…you could have over 30 deaths in Everbloom and still time lol

Boy am I ever so glad I completely swore off Mythic+ sounds like you guys are having it rough.

Then again… 95% of affixes in Mythic+ are hot garbage. So… I’m not surprised to hear yet another affix is hot garbage.

Which one of the 4 Xal’s bargain affixes this season isn’t hot garbage?
Because the rest – fortified, tyrannical, and peril, aren’t really affixes, just damage amplifiers and a consequence for bad play.

I’ve still yet to have a group disband after 1 wipe.

I disagree, before the M+ changes a +15 (and then a +17) was the highest key you had to do to get the biggest reward, it wasn’t easy but it wasn’t so hard either, it was very doable and healthy, if you wanted to unlock dungeon teleport you could do a +20, if you wanted to push your limits you could 20+ keys etc

Now? To get the biggest reward you HAVE to do a +20 (+10) with under gear because to upgrade your gear past 619 you need Gilded Crests that only drop from +9 and beyond but no one is inviting no one with less than 619 ilvl, it’s literally the problem with trying to find a job without having experience.

Before those changes, you could get high on keys just by pugging, now you need a team because pugs are hell to do.

DF S3 wasn’t silly, it was fun, fair, challenging and rewarding.

Now? It’s like Blizzard is trying to force everyone to do +20 if you want to get the best rewards from M+, it looks like they’re trying to make people play less M+ so they play more raid and delves, it’s too much of a coincidence.

Not everyone locked at 619 is bad, some of them just don’t have 24/7 to play the game lol

I’m starting to lose interest in this season to be honest, and this is probably the major factor of why.

Blizzard will never fix the affixes problem because they hate fun.

And people say races don’t impact balance

Fort, Tyrannical and Xal bargain are okay, you can still carry people just like you could carry them with Sanguine, Explosives, Necrotic etc… But Peril is a heavy affix to carry because you literally can’t do nothing about it yourself, you just gotta pray your group doesn’t die.

Challenger’s Peril only affect +7 keys and beyond.

Challengers peril and the tight timers is jusy not it to me. 6 deaths in sob10, 0 wipes just people occasionally eating bad, 3m dps overall from me and the other dps (we had aug) key depletes. Like, do we literally have to play perfect?

if you wipe on the first boss of a dungeon you know you’re in for a ride so might as well catch the next bus.

Shadowmeld does not exit combat. If you are engaged with anything that can see stealth, you die.

is that new? i used to shadowmeld out of combat all the time on DH, just had to dash away first. ofc it never worked if i just shadowmelded in range of hostiles.

You realize I’m running 9s? I know that it starts at+7.

Since at least Dflight, I’ve never been able to full exit combat with Shadowmeld. Target cancel yes, but when trying to fully exit a pull with it, the mobs have always ran up to hit me after everyone else had died

Now if you wipe, key is bricked, if key bricks you get nothing, so people leave.

It is, but what can i do when ppl die without using their defensives, lock stones or health potions? Do you want me to use my super powers and control their characters too?

Exactly, Blizzard is catering to 0.01% of the player base, that makes no sense at all why they doing this.

M+ was the perfect example on why you didn’t need a guild to play the game, if i wanted to join a pre made group i would’ve done it by now. Your argument have zero logic.
