I hit 2400 in BGB on my Holy Priest (a spec I played as a lark and have no interest in) in a couple of days and I told my friends that hadn’t played it yet (we didn’t PvP or play much last season at all even in PvE) that it was more or less a joke/coin flip.

I’ve had good luck and bad luck in BGB but after this season I’ll probably just play Shuffle more. As much as I’d rather play real 3s, it is obvious that Shuffle is the superior game mode by several orders of magnitude compared to Blitz (assuming you care about personal skill). When I get a bad lobby or just do bad myself in Shuff I can at least reflect and take something from it. With BGB it just feels like some rats pressed Q and griefed.

In about 30 seconds in BGB I can tell you the outcome of 90% of games with about a 95% certainty.

You iz wrong. The only chants I dont have are speed. Dont care to waste gold on a few speed points. Nope its a waste. But what I will tell you why youre wrong. Then imma ignore you. And my gear is just like murlok says all but 1 piece that has mastery. Not a deal breaker at all.

Now for the real reason im stuck.
Once you lose a few in row its all downhill. You lose 3-4 ya lose 75-100 ratings. Finally win 1 and get 15 ratings. Its that bad.
Now onto the BGs. Many of the groups I get into are people in greens against full bis purps. Not possible way to win. ABout 30% of the groups have win traders intentionally losing.
Example. Priest healers with 80% of heals on themselves and being out healed by locks.
Way too many groups with at least 1 afk doing nothing but running into a wall. Lotsa people sitting mid alone waiting for a team fight while flags are in both bases. I could go on but you wont get it.

So to say its me is wrong. I hit team fights pop DOTS and starfall and top dps damage chats. Its too easy cuz boomy AOE is crazy. Sometimes I will bear form and run a flag.
Why you ask? Because no one else will.
And when I get flag 9 outta 10 times I have no healer with me cuz one is throwing the BG and hte other is in mid or on offense.
So yeah … Youre wrong as usual.

Ok next update hotshot. Last two mathches:

Healer on team said game was over before it started. Sat in corner healing himself the entire match effectively being afk

Second match EOTS. No one talks. I ask who is getting nodes. No answer. 3 people at start all go to closest node and sit it.

Keep telling me about skill though ok?

I’ve been down to 900 MMR myself on my alt, and I’ve never seen anything like what you’re describing. Sure, once in a while there’s low healing or DPS player, or someone doesn’t know the EOTS rules, but that’s about it.

So I take what you’re saying with a grain of salt. It’s hard to believe you’re consistently running into that many odd players in Blitz. A YouTube link would be much more convincing in your next update.

i think most of the serious players are all 2400 after the first couple days of season and you never see them again. i was like 3 points away from 1800 in the first couple days in full greens my season almost done on my priest. but i fell in mmr and its just a meme. i just que up and bang away i really dont care about rating in blitz. if you want rating go do arena less frustrating. i dont have the time or skill to be a sweaty. half the games in blitz are literally over 30 seconds into the match anyways because your team is so bad lol as a healer i see it all the time…blasting heals keeping everyone alive and then no one on their team is dying while they face-pump healers into the dirt. gg

Literally you can learn this stuff in randoms and yet here we are.

Blitz is currently the hardest form of pvp because you have to fight the enemy team (who are usually decent) and your own team (who are actively trying to lose). I don’t know any other format that’s 15v1.

That’s on Blizzard though because there’s literally no indicator where you turn it in, outside of a very easy to miss highlight through the hill.

If you are giving up in 30 seconds, I imagine it does have a detrimental effect on the team’s performance, that 1/8th of the team has chosen to fail

yeah i loved it in DF durring live testing.
Wish there was a casual unrated mode were i could queue up and fail without being forced to endure the eliteist crowd of rated play.
Anyway i had to give up something i loved, allthough we have forum goers that think i should have written 100 forum topics about it instead of just walking away…each to their own lol.

Rated play is often really competitive and winning matters more so people get all frustrated when they lose. I wouldn’t take it personal tbh.

nah i dont take it personally, far from it. But im trying to set a ‘good’ standard of behavior cause i really love this game. :wink:
trying to change the toxicity level but its a slow, long grind … and im probably gonna fail but at least i tried.

ok i lied, maybe i take it a little personally (who wouldnt, im not a machine lol). Besides you can only burn your bridges soooo many times in rated these days before people just wont queue with you or play with you.
I guess this happens in PvE as well, especially Mythics and the higher you go.
