Remove auto silence and right click report

If it was in TBC that means it was never in Vanilla. Which would mean it has no place in Classic.

then the banned person just reports that streamer with a clip of their stream as proof.

So basically you have no actual argument against it and are going to back yourself into a stance of #nochanges?

Note that rcr and auto squelch are not going into classic because players asked for it, but rather blizzard sees it as a valuable tool.

edit: how surprising that someone with a drug-related character name would be against this.

Speaking only for myself, I support the abilitybto use RCR making it easier to report players, as long as that RCR is NOT tied to an auto squelch.

IMO, any and all punishment, including squelches, be handled only by Blizzard.

I would rather see the target number of reports generate a flag for manual review instead of an auto squelch. This should not be a problem if all squelches are currently manually reviewed.

If the auto squelch absolutely must be tied to the RCR, I believe that there are at least a couple things that could be tweaked to reduce potential for abuse.

A) IMO, it should require a substantial number of reports to trigger that squelch to reduce the potential for abuse. I’d like to see at least 100 reports, each from a different account, required to trigger an auto squelch. Requiring 50 reports would not be as effective as requiring 100 , but would be better than 10 reports.

OR

B) IMO, if a squelch is overturned, Blizzard obviously felt that no violation was committed and those reports were false. IMO, if a squelchbis overturned, each and every player that submitted a report that contributed to tgat squelch should be punished and the punishment should escalate with each false report.

Easy there turbo.

It actually is the only argument that matters.

The whole point of this project is a museum piece. So by adding something that was not in Vanilla by it’s very definition would be inauthentic.

That would be like going to the Ghengis Khan section of the local museum only to see a part of it devoted to AR-15s. It does not belong there. It from a completely different time period.

Please dont move the goalpost I’m talking about authenticity not tools to help blizzard manage their people.

No you’re not. Your first post on that character in this thread was

You think it should not be in any game, yet you have given no reasoning. Then you switched gears to the #nochangeslol stance. Who is moving the goalposts?

Please stop with the childish insults. It does not help your case.

Also, medicinal MJ has shown to be extremely beneficial to the medical industry.

And last time I checked caffeine was the most abused “drug” in the world so how about you smoke a joint and calm down instead of inhaling your morning coffee.

My reasoning was it is inauthentic to classic. Which you did not like. But at the end of the day, did Vanilla have it, no.

That’s a change that can be abused to ruin community.

Sure it was. That’s why you included the “or any other game” part and only acted all #nochangeslol after what it was and when it was put in was posted. Give it a rest.

Yet it did no such thing in TBC or WotLK.

If you want to play non classic -> BFA is that way.

If it’s the only argument that matters, then every other argument you make against it is irrelevant and you can resign yourself from the debate.

Oh, this is a little bit contradictory. I guess your irrefutable “No-changes” argument only applies to the things you take issue with.

at the same time this can lead to unjust reports and people getting flagged without a chance to defend their case about it because they’re flagged by an automatic system, blizzard also may not have implemented the same system as what you’re describing or in the same way

What exactly is this “non-classic” that you speak of? Classic (1.13) has not yet been released.

Classic will have (raid) loot trading
Classic will have Layering
Classic will have RCR/auto-squelch

Lol this sums it up. You think what others are saying is “garbage”, but not you, because you are a typical BFA child who is logging in to play a single player arcade and rest of us are mere obstacles on your self indulgence.

Read your own posts, your own posts are exactly what you say others are.

I agree that both systems are inauthentic to Vanilla. And both should not be in Classic.

However, thank you for cutting out my response as to why I could get behind RCR because it’s no different than opening a ticket and directly naming said problem child. I clearly explained myself.

You got all that from my stance that specialized subject public channel communication should not be ruined?

Loving that you parrot what the other guy said, and call me a BFA child, despite my not having played the game for years. I smell desperation.

No different than opening a ticket? Except the convenience of use which greatly improves the odds that someone uses the system.

If you’re going to go with the “Not in Vanilla is all that matters” argument, then apply it indiscriminately, or don’t default to such a weak argument when you’re losing a debate.

Exactly! Dude, some people are just offended by everything on these forums. Lots of sensitive overly sheltered Mr. Flanders types out here.

I tried to get to this link, and I made it once (now it comes up blank). I never did figure out how to search from the topic list and read the old thread. Any insight you can offer into how to search old forum topics? Google repeatedly has them if I search a specific enough topic, but trying to go directly is. . . trying.
