Remove Augmentation

Neither do I.

Posting across multiple characters (especially in one thread) comes off as dishonest and an attempt to inorganically spur engagement.

Is that the good ole “We would rather you didn’t play Demonology Warlock” energy? My priestess senses are tingling.

:face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Im going to need this one explained. I am confuzzled

Ion said back in WoD that he rather ppl didn’t play Demonology Warlock. Seeing people freak out about the Augmentation changes it looks like history is repeating itself.

If that was the case, they wouldn’t be nerfing it like they are.

I lost my post history due to a name change >.< the forums got locked into my old character name (kasorayn) and finally let me update it only to act like it’s a completely different character.

There are always exceptions.

I’ll never support the idea of removing any specs from the game. But….I do think Aug should be reworked into a second dps option for evokers without support. Prescience and all that gone. Just am evoker who uses mostly black dragon spells.

Augmentation is being nerfed by no longer being able to buff Tanks or Healers. This may open the way for a future support Spec (maybe Bard) that can buff Tanks and/or Healers.

Whether Dev needs/deserves buffs or not is independent of what should be done with Aug, even though they are in the same class.

Every new class and spec is experimental. In Vanilla, EVERY spec was experimental. And some of those experiments failed and had to be heavily revised in BC and other later expansions.

No, they said that because they were already internally working on DH and knew that they were going to need to un-steal its major CD (Meta) so Warlocks couldn’t continue having a spec based around it. But they couldn’t just say that because Legion (and, therefore, DH) hadn’t been announced at the time.

Then when Legion came out there was an all-new Demonology which they don’t mind people playing.

I doubt that very much, because that is exactly what has made Aug a balance problem. They take up a DPS slot, but also make the non-DPS roles better and thus make it easier for the group to stay alive. And that is contrary to the original intent that Tank, Healer, 3 DPS would be neither better nor worse than Tank, Healer, Support, 2 DPS.

If they go whole hog and add like 4 more support specs in Midnight and TLT then they could bring back the idea of supports supporting all the group members – but that will make supportless groups suboptimal in some content, which is a problem when there are still over 9000 DPS players looking for group.

I don’t like the idea of outright removing Aug, but it is probably inevitable that they can’t be allowed to be as powerful or cool as supports in games designed around having a support in every group. They can do more damage than supports in those games – in fact, they have to – but personal damage is not the thing that makes supports cool for players who enjoy them.

it’s difficult to remove it

I don’t know how to play an augmentation evoker.

My reliance on other players playing well in order for me to do well has made it so ive never even specced over to even look at the talents/abilities

Smart man. Get your bag and get out before you need to do any real work. Leave that ugly little aug accident for someone else to clean up.

Buried? C’mon.

Why do people try so hard to deplatform others for dissenting opinions?

Just make aug buff raid wide simple fix

Hey look your threat got flagged down. Maybe next time you make a troll or uninformed post you wont threaten people who call you out.

Nice try.

Better luck next time, sport.

Remove Aug.

Again you arent skilled enough or do the content where aug gains value. So you dont have a say in the matter.

Okay.

Are you done?
