Remove artifact relics from legacy Legion loot pools

This is a suggestion aimed at transmog farmers, not at leveling characters. If Legacy Loot rules are enabled than artifacts would be unable to drop period.

It’s painful to go for a piece of transmog just for most, if not all, of the loot to turn into Relics. It’s like a kick in the proverbial gnads and it causes more frustration than anything else. I don’t know anyone who thinks to themselves “SWEET! I got a mythic artifact I can slot into an old weapon I don’t really use but maybe a few weeks out of a year instead of some sick transmog.”

Just remove Artifacts, even possibly trinkets and jewelry, from Legion loot pools if legacy loot rules are on.

I’m not actively farming legion instances at the moment, but isn’t it really no different than getting drops of the wrong armor type? Legacy vendor junk is legacy vendor junk, isn’t it?

Yep. Basically just that - bad loot match. Blizzard doesn’t really have an incentive to update this anymore with it being old content. If they did, there are more bugs with phasing, parallel timelines, scripted encounter bugs and so on. It’s unlikely they would be able to patch it in any meaningful way (while sitting on their butts - the common answer to outdated content).

They’re not going to remove them besides turning into grey vendor items. It significantly changes the loot tables and they don’t change loot tables except when removing desirable items. Of which relics are not desirable thus no reason to remove.

My analysis detects trace amounts of salt.

every expansion they need to have at least someone look at legacy trasmog farms and make them better. imagine if they were doing this every time?

we still dont even get the legacy buff in legion raids btw LOL. they literally still have not fixed this yet.
