Motes should be warbound, yes.
However, ancient mana caps (to at least 900) from 0 in a single withered training run. The cost doesn’t need changing. As long as you have 400 to start with and enough juice to do a full clear, you can keep going forever.

Then you aren’t killing enough enemies in there. My final clear after spending a full 2k which I decided to kill literally everything in ended with me already back to 1700.
That being said, the daily CD is also a bug, apparently; people who haven’t finished the entire Suramar 7.0 campaign can queue it once every 15 minutes (the length of the debuff it gives you, which was added to the game in 11.2.5). Removing the up-front cost to play makes sense to a degree, but it also isn’t too difficult to cap ancient mana in the main bazaar area of the city.
I cleared everything but two rooms and left with 50 mana… ok
I tend to agree regarding the quests that require Ancient Mana, particularly when they are campaign quests. I don’t appreciate having to farm the mana on top of Bronze, etc.
I’m currently doing the part of the campaign in Suramar City that requires you to give Arluin 800, then 1200 mana. Ugh.
It’s on a 15 minute cooldown since you can do it again.
I actually spend 400, go crazy in normal mode, and get 1500+ mana back. It’s easier than doing regular farms.
Agreed, I’d rather we skip it all together.
No, the option to do it again goes away once you finish the campaign. Supposedly a bug.
Interesting note about only spending 400, will try that.
