It needs to be removed or reworked because some classes can’t dispel and basically making it so that it’s way more difficult to get groups as a class that can’t dispel is antifun.
You should be able to click on them to heal them for 20% of their HP every second. It’s still faster to dispel them or to heal them probably, but if the healer is busy triaging at least a DPS that can’t cleanse can run over and prevent the debuff.
It is annoying that DPS, especially in sub 16 keys, treat it like a healer affix. I would say most of the keys i have ran this week I had to get rid of both spirits most pulls (which is fine as a priest i can just dispel one and PWL the other) but i think the affix itself is fine
Use mouseover macro casting if you havent already, makes it feel way less hectic
Affixes that some classes cannot help with is a bad idea. The devs seem to love excluded groups from content.
The solution is not to remove it, something that could help is to modify it so that only 1 per player can be dispelled, forcing another to do so and thus eliminating the option that it is necessary to heal it.
Or, just use an emote like /hug to get rid of it?
Everyone has access to emotes, and it seems the biggest struggle with Afflicted is actually noticing you or someone is under that affix. So, instead of adding a layer of complexity to it on top of spotting it, just /hug it out of them?
it doesn’t. but you implying its a healer affix only is ridiculous, lots of classes can deal with it to help the healer, its all about communication.
I agree with the sentiment it’s not a fun affix though.
And? I guess… if they’re not going to be helpful to the group they have only themselves to blame. Just ignore them.
It’s not that bad or complicated. It can result in a few challenges depending on timing, but that’s the point. Sometimes a gentle reminder that I can’t both heal the group and deal with 2 afflicted is needed. If that makes the dps flip out, oh well I guess.
Not sure why agreeing or disagreeing requires so many put downs and so much name calling in this thread tho.
Being that I just leveled the Shaman up a month ago. Id say I am doing just fine.

I am not going to jump in and argue whether it is difficult or not, etc.
What I will say is that as a healer, I find it obnoxious. That’s it. I find it absolutely obnoxious.
What humors me most about most responses in threads like this, though, is the fact that you have so many people with the “get over it, or get out” mentality. But, then I’m sure these same people are probably quick to whine about the fact they can’t find healers for their keys. lol.
But, I’ve said it 100 times and I’ll say it at least 100 more…
Affixes that are annoying AF need to go. Stop designing affixes with the sole purpose of irritating the player base.

2500 ist really anything to brag about considering key levels got nerfed.
Works all the time for me. I’ve met lots of great folks while pugging. But by all means, stay silent and keep hating pugging. Good luck!

I wasnt bragging… I just said I got to where I got in just a month of casual playing. But you cant let someone be happy with their own progress and want to run in and put someone down. So psss off troll…
