Just wayyyyy too much
Yeah there are some paths to avoid chunks of it but players frequently aggro them regardless.
Make these repetitive time sinks a bit less tedious eh?

No. That’s the whole point of a dungeon.
Zul trash, on the other hand…
Agreed. They just can’t seem to help themselves, though. Running through the timewalking dungeons this weekend with friends, I genuinely asked if there was always this much trash in there.
Everybody said yes, and I distinctly remember some of those areas as having a ton of trash mobs alright. It’s annoying, but it’s nothing new.
Well, Timewalking makes it particularly annoying because of scaling. Gotta love those long dungeons!
Stratholme for pugs is gigamemes.
just imagine that every trash mob is a little slot machine
that might maybe give you a nice world drop
perhaps
What if dungeons were just a series of cutscenes where you have to smash triangle as fast as possible?
Sounds like FFXIV. XD
No, we don’t need another Trial of the Crusader.
MoP had the most satisfying dungeons for me
they didn’t scale and you could bust them in 10-12 minutes
They did actually, just in the other direction via challenge modes.
What you are seeing is the first real expansion where dungeons are made with the competetive mode in mind. This has created some abnormalities like considerably stronger trash, considerably longer trash, and bosses with more frequent but less punishing mechanics.
They are different than other expansions dungeons but if you look at the dungeon as a whole instead of its individual parts I think you’ll agree they did a very good job creating dungeons that have a good pace and good overall challenge.
Perhaps that doesn’t translate well to the low difficulties but I do think better balance at the top end is more important for the future of the systems.
Stay in retail, little one: Classic is gonna OWN you!
BTW, what is it about this game that makes you not want to play it? Especially the instances?
Did you ever do the first boss of the Mt. Hyjal raid? The Boss was an afterthought after wave upon wave, twelve waves of them I think, each worse than the last. Strategically getting the NPCs for fight along with you. So many.
