No.

FFS. It is not a FEATURE, it is HOW IT WAS in vanilla.

Money is considered an attachment, and makes the delivery time 1 hour.

Interesting that “Take Attachments:” appears when you send gold.

Are you really hanging your hat on semantics? Or are you saying it’s wrong now cause it views money as an attachment?

Either way the patch notes, and game guide clearly show money is supposed to be instant.

The patch notes I linked are for 2.1.3.

That is TBC, not vanilla.

That means it was instant till 2.1.3.

Which means it should be instant now.

… what?

“… is now instant…”

That means it wasn’t instant before.

No, it wasn’t but you can continue to believe that if you want.

No it wasn’t instant until 2.13

Can’t you people read?

@title : or what?

Ugh, it says regardless of money or items because money was instant, items were not.

Yikes my dude.

Consent, thank you again for helping prove my point.

In the manual, it states that WHEN YOU ATTACH AN ITEM, It becomes a package mail and takes 1 hour.

Normal mail delivery with letters and/or gold is instant.

Only the use of a package takes an hour - this is an RP thing since a package will take an hour to ship and handle.

Think of it this way. If I mail you a letter and put $100 in it, you’ll get it in 1-2 days. If I send a package to you like a new computer, it will take 7-14 days.

Vanilla WoW tried to emulate this scenario in the game.

Give up for goodness sake lol
Like Harmondale describes for the 10th time. Gold, sent alone was instant. Done.

I am guessing the gold delay today has something to do with goldsellers.
Thats my guess.

Its amazing some of these people learned to drive much less pass anything that required reading comprehension. Smoke another…

lol I know Varkok, its frickin frightning.

No, it wasn’t. But feel free to continue thinking this was a change and that Blizzard is going to “fix” it for you.

Like I said before, Im guess the delay has something to do with goldsellers, something important, that has nothing to do with Page 149 of the PDF manual, released in 2004.

What they changed in TBC was you could instant send items AND gold finally. That was nice.

I mean they have a reference client. They can always sell something from AH and see what is actually happening with the gold. I’m willing to bet they have already done this and it is what it is currently.

Your memory is flawed. You always had to wait for an hour before ANY attachments arrived.

Exception was AH purchases. Even money you got for your AH purchases took one hour.

Mail to yourself with attachments was made instant in 2.13 as it is plainly and very clearly stated.

No, the delay has to do with the way it was in vanilla.

But feel free to think otherwise.

It’s literally the reverse of the thing you see.

  • In Vanilla, items took 1 hour, everything else (including gold) was instant.
  • In TBC, intra-account mail (regardless of items) was instant, and inter-account mail (regardless of items) took one hour.

They increased the inter-account gold time to slow down gold buyers by giving them a chance to flag and review high transfers.
