Let them burn. This is an Arby’s sir. And they don’t sell vegemite here.
Right, its the layers destroying guilds, not the loot hoes and drama queens
I feel so terrible for Arugal players. Vanilla realms were nowhere near that populated and layers absolutely need to return.
Isn’t that the golden question?
If there were a certain amount of people on servers in Vanilla why didn’t it get capped here in Classic?
Would have most likely fixed this issue.
Only if layer swapping becomes impossible so its defacto a new server. Then your character is permanently assigned a layer and you live there forever.
Now you’re just trolling and taking delight in the misery of others. Come on now, be better than this.
No.
I said it in another thread and I’ll say it here.
Players on layered high pop realms get no sympathy from me. Especially a pvp server. You haven’t been playing the same game as the rest of us, welcome to the real world (of WARcraft)!
If anything, your server was overpowered and was nerfed to bring it in line with the rest of the game. High pop servers SHOULD have high pop problems (again, esp. On a pvp server). As for arugal and its demands for the re-instatement of layers, why should your server be able to eat the cake and keep it too?
uhhh… have you ever taken a look at what node resources and the AH looked like on the layered, locked realms before this change? You seem to be under the impression it was some land of endless riches and resources, black lotus for all, cheap and free for the taking.
It was quite the opposite.
i know what its like. and thats a high pop server problem, layered or not.
dont tell me things havent been much easier since the layer was brought back months ago, i know better than that. and that goes far beyond resource collections.
Then how exactly are these servers being ‘nerfed’ to ‘bring it in line with the rest of the game’?
What was nerfed exactly? If anything consumables are cheaper than ever because farmers have xferred here with thousands of herbs, ore, and black lotus from low pop servers.
your queue to login for starters. you reap the benefits of such a large player pool, but yet dont feel responsible to carry the burden of having such population?
look, when its all said and done, i ultimately blame crossrealm battlegrounds and blizzards refusal to instate any kind of dynamic server population caps.
So you believe players should be punished for blizzard’s mismanagement of server populations? Hmm, not sure im on board with that, especially given blizzard is currently allowing paid xfers to realms which are already critically overcrowded.
i do. because the players of arugal have been given the option. more than once.
the arguement seems irrelevent now since we did not have a queue last night
seems blizz waved thier magic wand and did…something
with zero communication as always
a lot of issues of zones being very laggy and unstable though, seems they increased the player cap before queues start? maybe they did the same to whitemane/herod and just forgot to flick the switch for us too
as for your arguement about perceived ‘advantages’, its not true. layers are not a magical safe haven of black lotus and endless mob spawns, every zone and spawn is heavily contested on both layers. our situation was also rather ‘unique’ to our region for a number of reasons that im sure you’re tired of reading about by now. however opening paid xfers to such a large server immediately after delayering and so soon after new content opening stinks of cash grab or just incompetence.
oh it very much is. i didnt start out on a “dead server” i moved to it. best choice ive ever made in wow.
as for it being heavly contested, sure it might just be. but is it against your own faction? layered servers seem to sequester themselves from the enemy faction. at least any good gathers or grinders are.
And how about those dragons ehh??? You all over there on arugal might find them a little more challenging with this change.
They got all excited, getting to run Vanilla game with 2019 hardware.
Probably the same hardware they used for Retail, with all the zones and continents.
Oops.
Six months ago I would have agreed with you but Blizzard engineered Arugal to be in the state that it’s in now, and it’s currently unplayable for thousands of people due to the removal of the extra layer. They have created this mess with their incompetence and negligence, and they’re not even attempting to correct the problem by offering free transfers to less populated servers. They’ve failed the players at every step and no doubt there’s thousands of people that will cancel their subs because of this.
and why should they? they’ve offered them twice , and by the looks of it they went ignored for the most part. if any thing you all have sent the message that you arent going anywhere.
i will agree on one thing though, i do think this is an attempt to push the players into taking server population control onto themselves. so yes, blizzard is responsible in that aspect in my opinion.
