Removal of honorless target Via MC

Have had multiple reports in guild of priest players Mind controlling at FP’s upon an enemy players arrival then forcing player to hit a guard, this removes honorless target debuff, which i would think is unintentional. pretty sure we all want that fixed as its basically cheating a game system.

Now that its logged, expect to see this happen literally everywhere, sorry folks

I havent done this myself, which is why I am reporting it, we dont need more people cheating, would be happy to see some bans and rollbacks on this BS.

More detail :

"Alliance player lands at thorium point (honorless), 2 horde players camping the FP duel each other Priest and Warrior. Priest MCs the alliance player and attacks warrior so honorless drops "

I cant imagine this is working as intended and should be addressed.

Not to be a jerk or anything but I really don’t understand why you wouldn’t take a quick minute to go test and confirm this yourself before posting, you are a priest.

I feel as though the use of dueling itself to both kill a player through combat and utilize the advantage of MC not allowing the other player to fight back is of itself an exploit. If this were the intended use, why would have Blizzard made the target friendly in the first place? They would’ve made the MC’d target neutral, not friendly.

This is actually an easy fix for Blizzard. Just force a /yield upon attacking the other faction with a spell. This is just like the automatic /PvP feature they have when a player hits the opposing faction with a direct attack.

Our guild has 500+ members ,multiple reports were made to me in it internally.

Why would i use what i consider to be a game system exploit and risk my accounts and honor standing if i valued those things,
Seems you are the one who thinks i’m a jerk for not exploiting, interesting.

As an underdog faction player, it’s actually very easy to find people using this exploit. Right now there’s a priest/warrior on my realm using it. I didn’t notice it before, but yeah, it does remove the honorless target buff.

At first I thought they were just exploiting the nature of MC turning players into a pet, which they were to an extent. Looks like they were legit removing my zoning protections.

BTW I dont need to test this, reports have reached general classic discussion forum now.

Doing a few test isn’t exploiting and there’s no chance you’ll get punished for that. However, your post could be called out as trolling since its a know fact that if a priest were to MC someone and attack a guard, the guard would go after the priest as soon as the MC broke. So, to me, your post is suspect and the fact that you believe the number of guild members you have and rando hearsay give you credibility, is why I’m asking why I asked what would make you post this without trying it yourself.

Edit: the post you linked makes sense and is confirmed by other comments on the steps taken to prove the claim.

If you are a GM , get on your work account, if you cannot you just don’t know what is ok and isn’t, thanks for the input.

They also duel to have the warrior start with full rage to unload when ppl land. Its dirty asf but pretty smart too.

Keeps autoatkin priest for rage while priest just heals self

This is happening on our server too. Last week it wasnt public and people played as is expected for their honor, tagging/group pvp, whatever.

However this week someone was using this to almost double our honor per hour [ we have been in bracket 14 both weeks thus far.]

Something should be done about this.

People have to spend double or triple the amount of time pvping to achieve the same honor playing the traditional way of tagging and group pvp or 1v1s.

If you dont want to fix it perhaps just put in bgs tomorrow which will not only solve the toxic state of having to gank people 10 lvls lower than me 3 times for their honor but also will solve this issue considering you can make five times the amount of honor of their exploit in a premade bg group.

My friends and i have had to play triple the amount of hours they did and still have not even come close to their total amount of honor which in turn is going to be a difference of nearly 500-600 rp.

Honestly who cares.

The MC’d player is going to die either way. Instead of MC’n them for the 10 seconds for the honorless buff to wear off they are shortening it and killing them faster.

They are speeding up the process for the playing getting killed.

Which would you prefer?

  • Being MC’d and standing there for the full honorless duration and waiting to die
  • having them kill you right away and get on with business.

Last time I camped a FP we just CC’d them enough to keep them from escaping until honorless wore off and then killed them. This way is faster.

But if its unintended it should be fixed. Just be prepared to be delayed longer before you start your corpse run.

The problem isn’t how fast said person is dying. You can kill them instantly when they arrive. Theyll respawn to get where theyre going and you can kill them again for honor [ conveniently most if not all fps have a gy right next to them].

The problem is the people using this are solely doing it to stop other people on their same faction from attacking said person which in turn nets them the full 200+ honor rather than it being split by several people all attacking the opposing faction to try and earn honor.

Tldr. Fix it or add bgs. These people are gaining triple the amount of honor per hr compared to anyone else and no one else even has a chance to get a ‘slice of the pie’.
Premade bg groups will be making alot more honor than these exploiters.

Please do something soon rather than letting this exist for two more weeks before bgs are set to come out.
