Removal from group for reminding people they can wear legendaries in TWing

So I just go removed from a TWing group for speaking twice.

Once after killing General Husaim and saying “jeez”.

The second and final time, “if you have any legendaries wear them”.

Mid-way through Lockjaw I get kicked. And then a bit later I get a response from the tank saying this, “play your toon…dont tell others how to play theirs unless they ask”.

To which my response was this, “why did you remove me I was being mean I was trying to accelerate the group” and then I posted again with “wasn’t*” to clarify that I wasn’t trying to be mean. I then said, “never said y’all were bad”.

They gave a final response of, “healer is in tornado watch…keeps dcing…all that was slowing us”.

I took screenshots but not being a level trust three I can’t link. Three were in the same guild. This honestly seems unfair how a group can kick people out on a whim. I know that this sounds like every other elitist on the board but I only spoke twice. Was having fun playing outlaw in TWing and doing well and they cut that short by kicking me.

*accidentally clicked post before finishing the last part.

I wouldn’t dwell on it.

Maybe they are alts that don’t have them?

Maybe, but that would make it seem like they were just petty. Really killing my mood to level. That dungeon was so good too. Was getting the slice and dice and blade flurry rhythm on trash done right. Felt fun to play outlaw since the last time I did it for mage tower.

Just dont talk in dungeons. That’s where the community is at right now.

Lesson 101: Never interact with other ‘humans’ in an mmo.

Well of course you got kicked! Talking is forbidden, you know that!

What do you think this is, some kind of MMO?

What I quoted is the biggest issue I could find in your post. LFD is like standing in a long line or being on a plane. Nobody wants to chitchat with random strangers, they just want what they’re doing to be over. Queue, kill and leave.

a lot of people in random dungeons just want a successful run, without low dps or members making mistakes. the second you announced to the group that they should wear legendaries, you brought unwanted attention to yourself, which likely pushed someone to start a kick.

not saying you shouldn’t speak, but randos don’t like being told what to do.

If you’re having such problems in TW dungeons that you feel legendaries are necessary, you may want to read up on the dungeon or your class.

Theres you answer.
Three jokers who grouped up and used you to get into a run.
I saw that crap pretty frequently.

flips table posts on forums…too late me thinks.

I don’t need legendaries. I just prefer how they added to my spec. And since timewalking is the only time in the game that you can use them once you reach 116+, I would rather to wear them. Especially at on a one to one basis with azerite pieces they outperform what we have now in bfa.

But think what you want. Apparently I’m an elitist for saying to wear fun pieces of gear.

And to everyone yeah. It’s pretty sad how everyone has to walk on eggshells for fear of upsetting someone else.

I learned not to talk in groups for any reason. If I am in a group, I will just do my job and click the yes button on the ready check. I will never chat or speak.

That’s the thing with social situations, they are unpredictable and something that can be seen as advice can be seen as you being a [Removed], it’s just the way things go sometimes.

Don’t talk in groups, ever.

You know that saying “Stand for something or you will fall for anything”?

Its an anonymous quote from the 1940s and its garbage*.

What the pug-game has taught everyone is that no one stands for anything and it doesn’t matter. There is nothing that binds a pug group together least of all the human endeavor of achievement.

So welcome to outrage culture and people being their lowest common denominator. And the worst part of it, in my opinion, is the ruthless inertia it imparts to anyone who imagines themselves to be of hardier stock.

Be a good person if you want, but this sort of thing will soak the esprit de corps right out of a body until you are as leaden and jaded as the rest of the drones.

The aforementioned solutions remain the best though:

  • Make friends and bring them

  • Join a guild who will aid you in these outings

I wish humans could be counted on for more, but no luck so far. If only the moral imperative could have caught on.

Sorry.

Sounds like maybe the healer was stressing and took what you said as an attack. Apologize/explain as you did and move on.

People have instance chat on?
