Because of hilarious stat-bloating from how the scaling works in Remix, I figured I’d try to just have fun with experimenting, now that I’m upgrading my gear, having bought all the mounts.
I thought I should have had a better time of it sitting on 99% but it felt like I was critting only 60 to 70% of my casts. Unless my understanding is wrong, I presume NOW to think “oh, 99% crit against targets of my own level” so that felt like it made more sense.
Now I’m 101% crit and just not sure what hitting a target 3 level above me would require (as raid bosses are 3 levels above level cap, iirc)…
I don’t believe it has anything to do with the level of your target but rather that diminishing returns still apply. It’s more likely that it’s just a visual bug with the character sheet interface showing the inflated stat values without calculating the diminishing returns properly.
So basically, even though I’m now at 103%, I’m not ACTUALLY at 103% crit? Sounds about right, if I want to fall into a slump of pessimism over it…dang.
It’s always something with this game, isn’t it? lol
Oh well, at least if that’s the case, I don’t feel QUITE so awful continuing to stack crit, then. I really want to push the limit to see if EVENTUALLY I’ll never have to force a proc with Phoenix Flames, Fire Blast, or Combustion again for the rest of Remix.
