There are more options and tools available for countering shadow than any other school of damage in the game. Those complaining about Shadow Priests are misguided. And what is most ironic is the Warriors complaining when their class has the most potential in both PvE and PvP. A skilled Warrior crushes an equally skilled Shadow Priest. “But what if I’m caught off guard naked with no consumes?” isn’t things should be balanced around.

If you need a consume to beat someone then its not a fair fight. You can pop a shadow prot potion but he could just pop a limited invulnerability potion which not only makes him immune to all physical damage but also physical stuns, meanwhile shadow protection potion only protects against limited shadow damage and not shadow effects like priest stun or fear, so priest gets the upper hand when you bring consumes into it too.
Saying “just bring consumes bro” is the worst argument for PvP in wow

yes since everyone is rich from incursion spams they can just buy lots of shadow resist pots… oh wait they are getting more expensive.

They must be incredibly skilled to do all this damage through having their damage reduced by 90%.

Literally clueless, pots do nothing ticking for 400dps and now it will be even more scaled closer to 500. PvP is destroyed play sp or rogue and that’s it.

if you think it is ok to require people to use protection pots to stand any chance in pvp against a class , your opinion should be invlaidated.
Make sure to pre-pot. There will be an intermission where you can’t attack them. Pop your second shadow protection potion here. This will be the burn phase from this point on. Try to guess when he is going to use shadoword death and pray for a reflection.
If you think you shouldn’t be using every advantage in PvP to keep from dying, then stop pvping and remove yourself from PvP discussions.

I’m sorry, but you are playing the wrong game. People don’t PvP with 0 gear. People don’t PvP without trinkets. People don’t PvP without consumes. People don’t PvP without trying to win.
This is Classic, not retail. Preparation is half the battle.

Shadow Priests are IMO one of the weakest classes in PvP because of all of the ways to counter against them.
