This is a reminder that, as SoD progresses, Era is not a dumping ground for unique seasonal items. When SoD is over do not allow people to transfer items unique to SoD into Classic Era. Set this expectation now and either delete the item or replace it with something else that does exist.

Era is dead bro got 15k logs last week. SoD has 2x the population of Era and WOTLKC combined.
SoD is Classic now.
You don’t need to worry about this imo. They’re not going to dump SoD characters on Era without the Runes that made us all play SoD. They’ll make 1 or 2 dedicated SoD servers for people to xfer their characters to at the end of SoD.

people playing 5 alts that all count into logs when they run their 20min “raid” So you can literally say the real population being 100k and not 500k.
You will see a huge drop off because of how these websites work simply because it shows logged characters only.
Sod is popular but not as popular as people make it out to be. The numbers are wrong due to the low level right now and will drop off the higher it goes and the less alts people will play.
Also I believe they will make their own era servers for sod rather than putting them into the existing ones.
No one plays era so no one cares.

Yeah except for the fact that like with all versions of WoW, the majority of players in SoD still haven’t even entered the raid.
I know that’s a crazy concept here on these forums where everyone who posts is a no lifer with too much free time on their hands. I’m the same way. But we are the minority.
I wouldn’t believe it myself if not for the fact that my mother, who also plays SoD, has never made it to 25 in the past 10 weeks. But she is running two guilds on two different SoD servers that are both over 900 members. And just two weeks ago she was asking for my help because some of her guildies were trying to figure out how to run BFD for the first time ever, lmao.
So yeah, as shocking as it might be to hear, there are more people playing SoD then just the people reported on Ironforge Pro.
In fact, it’s just as easy to say the real population of SoD could be 750k-1M players, rather than 500k, to account for all those casual folk.
