this has been an ongoing problem with every single ‘catch up’ gear neck this entire expansion, they all get released being unable to accept socket upgrades. can this please be fixed?

On one of my alts I received the neck as a random drop. I mailed it to another alt, and they were able to apply sockets to it.
Later in the evening I purchased the same item from the vendor, on a different alt, and that alt can not apply sockets to it.

Yeah, purchased one today and it’s “not eligible”. Annoying.
