I really hope that’s not his point.
Because I have 7 macros for disable alone, 6 of which aren’t even usable out of arena.
I have 3 macros for provoke, that don’t work out of arena.
Have 3 macros for tiger lust, 4 for detox, 3 for disarm, and I think we get the picture right?
Edit: also thank god they added more macro slots and I still don’t know when they did that.

How is that going to help you know exactly which people are going to be defending a node while you are in the lobby?

Some classes have more binds than others. Arena requires specific macros for arena which can increase the number of your keybinds.
Again, the problem is that people can’t seem to get it into their thick skulls that even though they are all pvp they all have different rules and formats.

Rated BGs follow the same structure as random BGs, except player skill wise, they are played a bit different (not including yolos, as some of those can be worse than random BGs)
Rated BGs are less about individual skill and more about communication, people playing their roles, doing their job, not taking risks and composition.
There isn’t a lot of room for taking risks and having fun in rated BGs, because that means you aren’t doing your “job.”

Who does a rated BG team take?
- An incredibly talented player that sometimes takes risks and fails
or
- A steady player who might not be as talented but is the consummate team player
Definitely more than you are claiming. Go ahead and try to push rating.

Nobody pushes rating based on only their own merits. That is another thing that ****es me off about rated elitists. They will compare their rating to someone else’s and say they are better as if there aren’t a lot of other people involved.

Hence my request for clarification.
The topic of conversation up to this point had mostly been around arena vs battleground. I missed the moment when it switched to a discussion about classes and specs.
The day you understand why this is a stupid thing to say will be a true day of enlightenment.
I mentioned that because I was trying to point out that what I was saying is just generally true. The comparison wasn’t between different formats of pvp but between people who use them and keybind them and those that don’t in the same format.
The day you understand randoms don’t take skill, well don’t think that day will happen.
