Remember when we casuals were all illvl 197-200 and we were totally cool with it? Those were the days. Now we’re 230 and many of you are unhappy about being ilvl 233 without stepping foot into a raid because why exactly?

I remember two shotting 197-200 casuals with my 226-233s, and i’m still two shotting 230-233 casuals with my 252-259s
The power discrepancy in this gear gap is bad and lame

it wasn’t always like this but it was like this more often than not. Only occasionally did they try to address the mostly irrelevant pvp crowd with stuff like resilience.
I’m only 208 BUT idc, I’m just waiting for 10.0 so I can level to 60(70?) and do Legion content 
Shadowlands gearing system for pvp is bad
Bring back mop and wod and give random bgers conquest gear thats relevant to pvp

Yeah I managed to get one conquest weapon at 220 from doing comp stomps, then I went to upgrade it and it said I needed to do rated. Yeah, I’m gonna do rated at 215 ilvl, HA! And it would’ve taken a gang of losses and negative k/d ratios just to get that one 220 piece doing anything but comp stomp, which is still garbage against anyone good, unless I have a rating. Bass-ackwards.
I swear it’s like only hardcore masochists who can stomach not having fun for over a month before they “grow up” into reasonable gear are the only one’s still pvping.

Heck you can’t even solo legacy content with that kind of gear.
Template gear would be scary for the tryhards! I can see it now so many guilds falling apart in raiding.

So what you’re saying is that mythic+ and raid geared people are facerolling while all the real pvpers have left? Sounds likely. I cannot comprehend how I could possibly gear a character through pvp without it sucking my soul out of my nose in the process of failing ever so slowly upward.
It’s not even that, vers is still king for this patch until the changes next season. Casual pvp is just not fun for a lot of people who for perfectly understandable reasons don’t want to do rated pvp/can’t do rated pvp due to how exponential the power increases are per ilvl
And on the flipside it also sucks to be the one with all the gear that others cannot get

Funny you should say that, that’s the exact reason I left Magic: The Gathering 20+ years ago. I had all the high powered cards, but they were scarce. Instead of reprinting them the company decided it would literally never reprint them again. So I ended up selling off because who wants to be the only guy with the power? If only I’d stuffed them in a drawer though, today those cards are worth a mint.

I think both of my 60s are 160 or something and I really couldn’t care less. It is more than enough for my needs at the moment.
