Remember When WQs

Were semi tolerable? When you could find, queue, and insta-join other peoples’ groups doing the same WQ? Nvm, too much convenience.

All I remember is how much I took the Kirin Tor WQs for granted.

After doing the Tortollan, I miss them immensely. I was a fool back then.

Also: “Greymane’s forces hold this Warden Tower. Break their ranks! Show no mercy!” <- Very happy to not have to hear that anymore.

Sounds like too much fun op

NOPE :raised_hand:

WQs are super fast regardless of whether or not you group.

If you can only tolerate WQs when you can auto-join a group and have it autocompleted for you in 13 seconds by the rest of the group, then you’re someone who shouldn’t be grinding WQs in the first place. I never have.

Maybe it is your server, I always find a queue for them.

Although it just occurred to me that I play a tank, so that may have a lot to do with it.

If by tolerable you literally mean “I could join a group, afk, and receive my reward” then sure.
Hell at that point, screw mounts, screw flying, screw quests, just make WoW exclusively a mobile game so you don’t have to do anything!

Yeah… good thing blizz removed the ability for people to easily play together though right? Can’t have that in an MMO it might make their customers lose immersion to have friends around them xD

4 for the emissary is all I’ve done in BFA. Did the same in Legion as soon as I was exalted with everything and had pathfinder. I can handle 4. Hell of a lot easier than MOP dailies. The islands are a more annoying chore for me.

I’m a 420 tank. There’s no right-click create/join group for WQ anymore. Somebody is manually making those groups you join- including typing the name and manually inviting. Unless you’re oblivious and just think I meant the world boss WQs that Blizz still allows you to click the eyeball icon to create/find/join a party.

I assumed you were talking about the elite quests that give you the little eyeball to click on.

Any elite quests that requires a group can still be auto invite. Everything else can usually be solo completed, but having auto invites was primarily used by server hopping add-ons more than normal groups, and it was causing server issues, that were mainly caused by the quick forming and resolving of groups that never really did anything together anyway.

Gotta grind those paragon chests to turn in before next week. 1-2K more rep w/ COA and I’ll have all the chests.

And even without that, nah I’ll pass.

Everything can still be solo completed so your first sentence is moot

I used the addon frequently in legion. The number of times there was a real leacher was minuscule. It was slower and more tedious to leach anyway.

It was a great feature that other MMORGS already have, but apparently it was too much for poor old ancient WoW.

I never said I was turning the quest in and getting the box pre-8.2. You’re IL 410, 3/9M, 0/2H, and your neck is only lvl 47. You’re not really interested in making your toon the best it can be/progressing asap. (Inb4 I’m an elitist)

Being AWOL for almost 5 months because life happened will do that. The rest of the guild went and got 7/9 without me.

You can get a max lvl neck from 47 in 1-2 days just doing WQs (I went from 45-50 in 2-3 days that way).

I never got tired of that.

World quest design in bfa feels like it fights with you or designed to be purposely long in completion. Ion stated that they limited addon functionality from allowing what we could do before the bfa pre-patch hotfix, and if they hadn’t world quest design would just compensate by making it take longer as if you were in a group.

To me it feels like they did the compensating as if you were in a party, yet still restricted you from making parties easily. That to me is why I despise bfa world quests, purposely designed for a time metric and not like how the legion world quests were. And to be honest I still find myself going back doing legion world quests from time to time. Even on my 110 twink alts, that don’t need the rep or gear. They just feel better to do.

Lastly, bfa leveling feels as if the quest design came after world quest creation. All of the quests feel like they are just retrofitted WQs with almost no rewards. I guess I could care to grind AP before patch day but why I haven’t raided since october. Would rather spend time leveling characters for some future unknown purpose.
