Remember when we thought blizzard would get better after MS acquisition?

Boy that sure panned out well given we’re now getting triple A levels of monetization crammed down our throats.

Remember when simply pre-ordering gave us early access? because FFXIV sure did, no extra nickel and diming too.

If owning the expansion is the only requirement for early access, then there is no early access.
Its just access.

No

Yeah but at least Bobby isn’t buying a boat, right?

You literally quoted what you replied to, but still misunderstood.

No reasonable person that pays attention to gaming thought that Microsoft would make anything better.

Blizz just moved from one profit driven owner to another bigger one.

I’m just hoping they never go the Bethesda creation club route for add-ons…but now that they are owned by the same company, who knows

This is another FF troll thread, but MY biggest fear was , we would lose support , but that has not come to fruition . I have seen Bliz respond to posts on the support forum , when the issue is serious , they still give a darn.

we werent forced to switch to microsoft account to login to wow yet. that’s already better than what i was expecting xD

tbh i dislike some of the choices but I still like that MS owns it. I suspect if WoW actually ever does “die” it’ll just be shifted to an xbox gamepass exclusive and we can keep playing and have other games to go with our subscription.

i am not sure who was expecting that. i remember when MS was the devil monopolizing all internet with its browser

I really dont think i did.

No one is getting anything crammed down their throat. The only people paying Blizzard any money are people who chose this game over the hundreds of alternatives out there.

This expansion, as well as the general overall arcs of the next two, were already set in stone before the MS thing was finalized. I was not expecting anything different or changing with what is in this current expansion. MS logins have not been a required thing for other sub devs under MS, so I didn’t expect account changes either.

But now that the MS buyout was news 2 years ago, finalized last year, we can expect if MS is going to change anything with game roadmaps, company leadership / HR things, we can expect that for the next expansion, and potential see background stuff / changes during the current expansion.

Honestly I never understood why anyone thought the M$ acquisition would improve Blizzard. M$ did the deal mainly for mobile games - Blizzard was just an afterthought.

If you thought that you totally failed to see how being bought by Microsoft made NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL to Bethesda’s ability to release bug-ridden crap … Phil Spencer always said he adopts a ‘hand off’ approach to studios M$ buys so if you thought Kotick’s departure would change anything you were naive.
