Remember, The War Within will go on sale 2-3 months after its release

The roadmap says the expansion will release on the border of summer and fall (which would be the end of September if we consider the pixel placement of things on jpg to be something we can go by)

2 months after will be black friday and cyber monday, then a month later will be christmas.

One (or both) of those holidays will certainly see it go on sale, perhaps for 50% off as Dragonflight repeatedly was.

Might be worth saving your money and seeing how the expansion is playing out, maybe wait until the first few balance and bug fix patches make the rounds. Cause there’s no way hero talents, delves, and other stuff are going to work properly for the first couple months anyway. I mean, the first month of an expansion has always been riddled with poor balance and bugs, and that was before they laid off all their testers. Remember, we the paying customers are the testers now.

Or neither.

Not using my money. Using someone else’s money to pay for it with tokens off the AH using my gold, as i have previously done.

Why should I wait on the offchance?

I’m betting on interest being so low that it will be 50% off before launch

Me too, but I always do, no matter how upset I am at the devs at the time. I know what I am, and I have simply learned to accept it.

Blizzard didn’t offer dragonflight sales in December 2022

You’re delusional if you think they’ll put war within 50% off by winter this year. Maybe 2025 sure

Tell us you can’t afford MSRP without telling us you can’t afford at MSRP

It’s almost always the best value to get the plain jane version of the expansion at launch, and wait for the 50% off sales to get the upgrades.

Not waiting that long for a catch up,nope not me.Got one more account to go.

Actually buying the epic edition now as a pre order, then collectors edition is a return investment

This is if you’re serious about playing WoW and collect collectors editions

Buy war within epic edition pre order, then your collectors edition pre order. Redeem said collectors edition code to get back $90 in credits

Hold said credits till Midnight expansions pre order, use the $90 to pre order your Midnight epic edition

You’ll never have to pay a dime for epic edition bonuses, buy them right away as they get announced

This aspect is what makes me laugh when I then see people complain about WoW no longer being social.

“Why cant I make friends in WoW when I keep quitting constantly”

Yeah, I have it slated to see others play really. This was a drive by to see if my sub still works to post. It does, for now.

Then wait for sales.

Cata could have me find $15 extra to spend. that game itself would be free though. I don’t need the deluxe items lol.

If you decide to wait a couple months, just don’t come here complaining about how you are behind and can’t catch up with the rest of the pack.

That’s why I buy my first, full priced, version. For my bot account. By the time I lose that account it’s on sale and I can buy it for me and all my buds so we can play together for a few months. Bliz really couldn’t have set it up any better.
