Remember that time?

Do you guys remember that time in Northrend, when the Lich King Directly benefited from the Horde and the Alliance fighting each other?

Remember that time in Twilight Highlands, where Cho’gall directly benefited from the Horde and Alliance fighting each other?

Remember that time in Pandaria where the the Sha directly benefited from the Horde and Alliance fighting each other?

Remember that time in BFA Where Sylvanas directly benefited from the Horde and Alliance fighting each other?

Remember how we stopped all of them with Teamwork? No?

How many times is Blizzard going to continue to reinforce the faction divide, when it is always swept aside so we can work together? Blizzard clearly likes stories about Teamwork, but wont merge the factions so they can continue to milk money transfers, while the faction divide slowly milks everything good out of this game

When blizzard decided to make new ‘experience’ story-wise with MOP didn’t people complain that wow isn’t wow anymore?

Probably forever, thankfully.

And why exactly are you “Thankful” that blizzard rehashes the exact same story every expansion?

The Horde and Alliance both marched together to fight Sylvanas and take back Orgrimmar for the Horde.

Did you forget that?

I like the divide, it makes me feel like I’m on a different side and gives content like BfA more replayability even though much of the quests would be the same.

Nope. I didn’t forget that.

But evidently blizzard forgot about that whole “Breaking the Cycle” thing. Because the faction divide is still here. Nothing changed.

Breaking the Cycle meant the factions stop fighting. Not merge. Lore-wise there is no fighting anymore in battle.

But your leaders, and my leaders, can work side by side together in Nazjatar. So we’re on the same side.

And yet, we can’t do the cooperative endgame content with each other?

Jaina and Lorthemar did work in Nazjatar. That was a major plot point. The Alliance and Horde in the lore were working together in Nazjatar.

This is getting too demon-huntery for me.

In cases where they work together they make it clear it’s temporary.

As to actual gameplay I think they’re on that path already with Horde being able to queue up alliance side BGs. Would be cool if they extended it to dungeons.

we’re rivals. We must fight.

Horde and Alliance races have fundamentally different ideas on governance. The Horde likes a loose organization, but ultimately responsible to a leader in times of war, while the Alliance likes a firm King to rule over all the races. Ultimately, it’s a political thing, and you’re not likely to see that change in the long run.

Also, having a minimum of two factions creates easy conflict, and at this point going to three or more within the existing framework, would be…tricky.

So then why can’t the Alliance and Horde work together in Gameplay?

You wanted to stop Aszhara, I wanted to stop Aszhara. But blizzard refuses to let players work together. This is why we get things like the hall of fame being 97% Horde, and constant guild transfers to the Horde.

Because for some reason, endgame content has to be separate, even though we work together in lore.

I’m suggesting one. Which would fix balance problems for everyone, and prevent blizzard from writing anymore asinine faction war expansions

Woah! You have this in reverse.

The Council of Three Hammers had the Dark Iron for the longest time, and they were never apart of the Alliance until recently.

The Alliance… Is an Alliance of states. The Horde is ruled under the thumb of the Warchief and all peoples who join must pledge their life and dedicate themselves to helping the Horde.

Anduin has no say what goes on with the Gnomish people, the Dwarves, the Night Elves, the Draenei, etc.

So maybe stop getting in the Horde’s way?
