Remember Lady Liadrin?

Hey guys I was just chilling out, playing classic and getting up to date on my lore up to retail.

Remember Lady Liadrin? She was pretty great. Devout, heroic and utterly concentrated on the destruction of the scourge and later the Legion. Bright and focused on unity, and passionate about the light. That lady that was pretty fully redeemed, focused on teaching her people to embrace the light?

That neat lady who, in the Warlords of Draenor, worked with the Exarchs of Auchenai to help defend Auchindon and helped kill some pit lords and defend Shattrath? Who in the legion, joined the Knights of the Silver Hand and serves as the last line of defense against the death knights trying to steal the body of Tiron Fordring?

So yeah apparently in BFA, she orders horde adventurers to murder a non-combative Mistweaver who is in charge of a field hospital that is only there to treat severely wounded Kul Tiran civilians. Its not even a military target, she just randomly orders people to go murder a doctor treating civvies.

Hey guys!

Remember Ji Firepaw? Leader of the Huojin Pandaren in the Horde?

Me neither.

This is one of the reason why I can’t take BfA writing seriously, it’s almost like the lore team doesn’t like WoW and just do whatever with the characters.

Hey, remember Turalyon? He was that guy who was put up on a pedastal for years and then showed up and started giving everyone orders in Legion (even though he was mocking other races for being “disgusting” but I guess we overlooked that).

Well apparently now he’s running the Alliance’s army against the Horde and says all sorts of stuff about how it’s absurd that any Horde person could ever be a Paladin.

Oh and his wife consorts with the Void Lords, but he doesn’t care.

Huh, I thought that was the angry Orc woman from AV. Regardless, if it’s the one I’m thinking of, that is one of the few quests that I feel bad about doing.

Think you mean with. Cause it went freely knowing what would happen to itself, all to redeem the Blood Elves.

Good.
I missed the Blood Knights being distinct from every other form of paladin.

Well, he always was a General for the Alliance, whereas Liadrin was neutral and worked with players of both factions for several expansions. Also, Alleria was taught how to keep those void powers in check and keep them from taking control of her, and used this knowledge to save the other ren’dorei elves from that fate as well.

Well, yeah. But Legion as a whole was a 99.99999999999% Alliance expansion, where we took orders from “always a General for the Alliance” Turalyon and active Alliance faction leader Velen.

Which is why so many Horde players laugh when Alliance players say that Blizzard focuses more on the Horde…

Yeah, she also led a warfront to taking Stromgarde and actually says things like "The Light will not dwell in darkness’ Or whatever…

I am sorry blood elf? Did WE burn Teldrassil down? Did WE attempt to resurrect dead elves for our own cause? I don’t think so. You are a hypocrite to that light, and I don’t mind taking it away from you. Stand with Sylvanas, the light will want nothing to do with you.

Would have made sense for a non Paladin or a Forsaken/Orc to have taken that roll. Not Liadrin.

Read my post. Aleast Turalyon has a point. Liadrin’s a hypocrite. It makes no sense for that blood elf to be for Sylvanas and try to claim the light is with her.

The Light’s generally not that picky about what you use it for as long as you’re faithful enough. That’s why the Scarlet Crusade had no issues using it despite being on a “kill everyone else just in case” binge for the entirety of WoW. Hell, Sir Zeliek could use it despite having been raised as a DK under Arthas’ control. Granted, he’s a bit of a unique case.

Archbishop Benedictus also had Holy abilities in the Hour of Twilight dungeon, despite serving the Old Gods at the time.

Right, so nevermind all that questing in Suramar and Highmountain; both of which were way longer, with much more character development, than Argus? I wonder where those nightborne elves and Highmountain tauren ended up? Oh, that’s right. On the Horde side.

The commanders swap. They arent always the same.

I think Crommush, Liadrin, and that angry Orc lady are in the rotation. Probably others too. I do not remember.

Either way, that Mistweaver had it coming.

Remember that guy Ralanthel? Paladin, former commander of the Silver Hand, wielder of the Ashbringer AND Truthguard? Incredibly zappy transmog, who saves innocent deer from a wildfire in one expansion, and then chops off their hooves and butts because a stranger asked him to in a different expansion?

Whatever happened to that guy? I’m glad you asked, I’m just here. Doing the thing.

Storywise, Horde is being written into obscurity.

I watched things go south for Horde storywise ever since Cata with the whole Garrosh crap.

Then we had Sylvanas being written into a kids comic book villain.

My thoughts is when Blizzard runs out of ideas for making bad guys, Horde will be next as loot pinatas.

You tried to subvert the anti-scourge defenses of her homeland. When they were trying to ally with you. You also slaughtered her people in the street because of four of them using a portal.
You also exiled them for using magic, only to later accept magic-using highborne.
Also the light is now resurrecting the dead to serve its own ends.

Be careful when you call characters hypocrites while practicing hypocrisy
