When even though you had hit and expertise caps, plate wearers had an extremely high parry chance because strength = parry and agility users had a bunch of dodge because agility = dodge? (Lol ww monks with sparring passive btw)

Mop PvP was so good except for the dodge/parry mess

Still miles better than bfa though

srsly that’s the comp that comes to mind first? For me, hpriest/feral gave me some major nightmares.

Remember in mop when I had 10 classes at 90 with full gear rip conquest

I remember seeing Warriors get like 82 different buffs at once and just global healers with tfb. Completely fun times, man.

I remember MOP as melee with kick bots, monks with orb bots, people getting ddos’d through skype, and people trying to cheat their way into Blizzcon.

As for gameplay, Enhance Shamans executing people from 60% in S15, Ele Shamans getting RNG Lava Burst strings, Healing Stream totem being stronger than actual healing specs, and God Comp being able to kill people in a Spriest Silence.

But all in all still miles better than BFA.

Edit: Can’t forget the absurd number of people who bought Glad/R1 pilots. Literally absurd.

I think I could play Classic through WotLK for the rest of my life. Just add in all the cut content we missed out on in those expansions, like the entire underground continent that got cut from WotLK.

I wouldn’t mind Cataclysm, but there’s a lot of things from Cata that I disliked. For example, they should have expanded more on the talent trees instead of gutting them to make leveling easier. Cataclysm was the first expansion to move toward spec based characters instead of class based with the whole Mastery stat thing and giving you the spec defining ability at level 10 instead of working up to it.

Keep in mind that MoP was balanced around everyone being hilariously broken. Across the board there were stupid/over the top mechanics but it’s also way more fun to be balanced around everyone being OP vs being balanced around everyone being UP (WoD-BfA basically).

But consistently interesting mechanics exist in Wrath/Cata and both of those xpacs have very different mechanics and playstyles - Classic>WoTLK is basiclaly it’s own game, and Cata>MoP is where another new game starts, WoD>BfA is like a weakened version of the Cata>MoP game.

Personally for PvP I’m ok with WOTLK through MoP, I’d rate Wrath/MoP as better than Cata though, although there’s also lots of things I liked about Cata too.

Remember in mop when you could buy all the gear you needed from some sort of “gear merchant” and not rely on dumbass random drops that give you the same item you have half the time
