Remaining non racial universal classes

I just realized now that locks will be available to all races, minus dracthyr for now, the only remaining classes are classes that have racial specific spell animations.

DH - Meta

Druid - animal forms

Shaman - totems

Paladin - charger mounts

So based on art resources needed to create each asset, Which of these classes are next in priority?

I’d say DH would be next but they would need an entire new intro quest line in addition to their meta forms.

So the next practical would be shaman since they only need 4 little totem models.

Paladin would be next since each new race would only need their own mounts.

Though many would be simple recolors, like gilneans, KT humans, Velves, and forsaken, all of which could have basic chargers with different colors, similar to how the thalasian chargers in TBC were red versions of the alliance ones.

So the last one would probably be druids due to the sheer number of forms to races.

Each race would need a unique cat, bear, travel x2, moonkin forms, even if some are just recolors.

Would love to see LFD animal forms,

Shamans should be next. I want undead shams with tombstone totems.

But……

They are already in animal form!

Shaman should be easier on crunch time if we reuse themes.

  • Goblin totems to Gnome and Mechagnomes

  • Stormsong totems for Humans and Undead

  • Draenei totems for Lightforged

  • All elves however will be given a new model.

Shaman > Paladin > Druid > Demon Hunter.

Totems are the easiest to customize as their animations aren’t as in depth. Then mounts and finally Druid forms.

Demon Hunter probably will be last because out of the group, they are a “hero class” and there will probably need to be reworks to their starting zone. Or a new starting experience created for them. This might need to be loosely related to story similar to death knights.

Paladins as the easiest because the racial mounts are already modeled in the game. Just slap some righteous justice looking armor on it and you are good to go.

In case someone from Blizzard is reading all this because I 100% agree, here is the new starting quest for non elf demon hunters:

You are on the Fel Hammer, lined up with various other non-conventional demon hunter races. Some are cockey, some are scared, and everywhere in between.

Leading demon hunter NPC of choice is drill sergeant yelling at them, telling them most will die, go insane, or be totally corrupted and need to be put down.

You speak to the other recruits, form a bond with 1, a hostile rivalry with another, but get multiple back stories and their reasons for training as a demon hunter.

Then through a series of quests, this whole group is whittled down. You are victorious over your rival, tragically have to execute your friend, and in the end, you’re the only one who makes it through the training.

Viola, demon hunter trauma onto any race you desire.

Yeah like shaman voodoo, they deal with evil loa, alot they could do with that idea. Alot of the shaman lore was they dealt with the spirit world but mosly you just hear about thier elemental powers.
